18-05-1958 Brazil 3x1 Bulgaria- Pelé 1 Head Goal http://memoria.bn.br/DocReader/DocReader.aspx?bib=104140&pesq=pele&pasta=ano 195&pagfis=14374
This wasn't a header, Pelé made a header and the goalkeeper saved, then the ball returned to Pelé who made a strong shot. In Gazeta it's well understood, and Jornal dos Sports also describe the same http://memoria.bn.br/DocReader/DocReader.aspx?bib=112518_02&Pesq=pele&pagfis=21564
Most non-penalty goals+assists in 3 consecutive seasons (club only) Ordered by the % of goal involvement, this isn't necessary the peak of involvement the player had in 3 seasons. And the "rating" that I do, where assists have a value of 1.5
Cooper Test and VO2 Max of the Brazilian National Team 09/04/1970 Maradona had 2550m, I don't know the date but probably before 1986. An Elite football player should have arround 3400m in the 80s.
For Alex de Souza is there a reliable source where the numbers can be corroborated match by match? because I tried to verify the assists with videos, in one season where they said that he has the world record, and I found like the 70% of the assists.
I had to put his stats together like a puzzle. There is not a single source, there are several. Most of his assists are on https://www.fellegger.com.br/assessorados/alex/
Yes I know the web, but is there a way to confirm the numbers with videos or newspapers? I tried for one season and just found arround the 70% of the assists, at least if we talk about Opta criteria.
Maybe I missed it, but have anybody stats for headed goals for NT matches and overall career for Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, Zidane, Zlatan and Platini?
Reckless deduction of penalties with no context or investigation Cristiano Ronaldo has won 14 penalties in La Liga, at least five more than any other player since 09/10. Presence— OptaJose (@OptaJose) February 2, 2016 Messi 22 wasn't doing this at all before someone mentions him lol A player wins a penalty that is scored by another player You dont credit the assist A player wins a penalty and scores it You dont credit the goal In your imaginary world penalties do not exist and have no value in all circumstances For this table you even missed Mario jardel 1999/00 to 2001/02 as a legendary 3 season peak 145 goals in 135 appearances Jardel was the real deal He top scored in the 1999/00 CL and finished second behind Raul in the 2000/01 CL Two European golden shoes in 99 and 2002 His peak value wasn't less than lewandowski His names deserves to be there more than many of these guys https://www.brasiliensefc.com.br/20...ki-faz-eu-fiz-por-seis-ou-sete-anos-seguidos/ Hes not lying BTW Even Luis Suarez wasn't better than him at all(maybe against teams like Norwich he was though) In 1999/00 jardel scored 10 Cl goals which included 3 goals against real Madrid 2 goals vs Barcelona 2 goals vs Bayern Munich He did this playing for sporting lisbon and was likely strung out on cocaine
I'm not saying that penalty goals don't exist, but there is a fairly widespread consensus that player comparisons are always fairer if penalties are not taken into account. I think it is quite obvious that a penalty only inflates the statistics. In fact, I originally did count penalties, until a couple of users who know something about football suggested to me that comparisons would be more interesting if they were not counted. With respect to assists, that is also the most widespread criterion and is found in most statistics applications and websites, which are the "Opta assists," that is, the last pass to the player who scored the goal. And with regard to the list of players, I don't think it needs to be clarified that these are not all players in history, it is a list of those players for whom I have information.
Trachta, I modified your spreadsheet and I added more data so that the quality of striker that Pelé was is better understood. It's missing a lot of things and maybe a lot of parts aren't understandable, but I did what I could. https://www.mediafire.com/file/9numhr191n8kmfa/Pel%C3%A9_en_partidos_oficiales.xlsx/file
Penalties should not be just substracted in a comparison betwen players who were the main penalty takers for their teams. Thay is very useful information being discarded.
That information is not being discarded, the number of penalties is right there on the graph. But, when comparing players, it is fairer not to count the penalties.
