Peru vs New Zealand I expect New Zealand to play like a 4-2-1-3 and 3-3-1-3. All you need to know is that Thomas + 3 others will be up the field on attack at all times. McGlinchey and Lewis form the second line of defense and have to play well due to the attacking needs of New Zealand. New Zealand can not afford to have 7/10 men on defense because New Zealand need to score. Ryan Thomas must have support on attack to be his best. Thomas is New Zealands Xavi - The Playmaker (Our best player) All you need to do is make a run and he will find you with a pass. On the other hand you have become decoy and Thomas now has space and time I need to take another option such as another pass or shooting for goal from close range. Thomas ran a lot of Kilometers the other day. This can not happen again on Thursday. New Zealand must trust that to 6 man defense will be good enough. Thomas must stay forward New Zealand must remain with 3 men up the field on attack with Thomas. Peru will get Nervous the more New Zealand attacks. Prediction: Peru 1-2 New Zealand - The pressure on themselves is too much for Peru. Thomas and New Zealand will have a field day against Peru's defense
if NZ comes out to play they will leave gaps and that is exactly what our attackers thrive on If anything it suits Peru to be attacked the higher nz push up and the larger the distance between mids and defence the more Peru will thrive
Sending an extra man up field will make Peru nervous, New Zealand will still have enough men back. Peru's defence is not better than what our attackers have faced. With Peru going up on attack, New Zealand will like their chances with scoring goals.
hate to break this to you but Peru have faced much much better players and teams in the last 18 games. NZ showed how much they fancied themselves in an open game by playing 9 men behind the ball and very close to their area while playing at home They will do the same again for 80 minutes and hope they are still alive and then maybe they will come out and play Hudson knows that his team is inferior and is not silly enough to commit too many players too early. He has to play with the clock he has that advantage. would not surprise me if his master plan is to play for pks
I'm glad you're confident and think that Peru's defense is not better than Fiji .... on the other hand we have played against world class forwards this year like Cavani, Suarez, Falcao, Messi, Neymar, Sanchez, etc. And you think that made Peru's defense "nervous".... What will make Peru nervous is the pressure of not being able to score at the beginning of the match. Being at home it should be an advantage for Peru apart from being much more rested for this game.
I dont think you quite understand the level of pressure southamerican qualifiers have. Peru is used to pressure in the other hand new Zealand is used to winning all their game in their qualifiers. I highly doubt new zealand is used to hostile crowds,as their best players play in england where the crowds are quite and behave. Their is pressure on Peru , sure , but they have 90 minutes, plus another 30 minutes extra time to win the game. Peruvian defenders have dealt with players like neymar, messi , suarez, falcoa , etc ,etc ,etc. I highly doubt Wood would scare any of them.
Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, etc. didn't score 2 goals and you think NZ will score 2? can i please heave your dealers phone number?
Definitely, but they wouldn't dare. If they were celebrating a draw at home, there's no way they don't come out and park the bus this Wednesday.
