Ok all, just post your predictions in here for the African WC qualifiers, thanks! Here they are again: October 10th Tanzania vs Kenya Gambia vs Liberia Sudan vs Eritrea Uganda vs Mauritius Madagascar vs Benin Equatorial Guinea vs Togo Chad vs Angola Seychelles vs Zambia Somalia vs Ghana Guinea-Bassau vs Mali Guinea vs Mozambique Ethiopia vs Malawi Sao Tome e Principe vs Libya October 11th Botswana vs Lesotho Burkina Faso vs Central African Rep. Niger vs Algeria October 12th Burundi vs Gabon Swaziland vs Cape Verde Islands Rwanda vs Namibia Congo vs Sierra Leone Zimbabwe vs Mauritania Good Luck!
I am le true champion I think some of them will win, some of them will le lose, and some will draw with each other. I le win.
Re: Re: Re: I am le true champion It could be translated as "Shut the fvck up". I told him that because he's supposed to understand French and his post was SO stupid, like every others posts he writes. I've seen you write in French a little before and I must admit that my "Ferme donc ta yeule" must be hard for you to understand, because this is not common French. I live in the Province of Québec, and here we use some words that you don't learn during classes (I assume you learnt you French at school?) like "yeule". The true word is "gueule" or "bouche". This is like your slang in English. "Ferme ta geule" is not very respectful. Sorry if I made some mistakes, English is not my native language.
Re: Re: Re: Re: I am le true champion no mistakes, your english is fine. So Quebec huh? my mom used to live there (in the late 60's and early 70's) so she taught me some french, actually its getting rusty
I am le true champion It is not getting le rusty, it was never good to begin with. It seems I have le pressed on the wrong link, and gone to le rivalries forum instead of the FIFA one, tres strange. Maybe le Knave can look into it. When people le ask this, do they really believe I would le do it? That would be le tres not smart indeed. Kenya has not been in le great form lately, but it is a good thing for them that this game is still while off so they can le improve their form.
October 10th Tanzania vs Kenya 1-0 Gambia vs Liberia 0-0 Sudan vs Eritrea 3-1 Uganda vs Mauritius 2-0 Madagascar vs Benin 0-1 Equatorial Guinea vs Togo 1-1 Chad vs Angola 2-1 Seychelles vs Zambia 0-3 Somalia vs Ghana 0-4 Guinea-Bassau vs Mali 1-1 Guinea vs Mozambique 2-2 Ethiopia vs Malawi 2-0 Sao Tome e Principe vs Libya 0-1 October 11th Botswana vs Lesotho 1-0 Burkina Faso vs Central African Rep. 5-1 Niger vs Algeria 0-6 October 12th Burundi vs Gabon 1-1 Swaziland vs Cape Verde Islands 3-1 Rwanda vs Namibia 2-1 Congo vs Sierra Leone 3-3 Zimbabwe vs Mauritania 3-2
I will prove my expertise on African football: October 10th Tanzania 1 Kenya 1 Gambia 2 Liberia 1 Sudan 3 Eritrea 0 Uganda 4 Mauritius 0 Madagascar 2 Benin 2 Equatorial Guinea 1 Togo 3 Chad 1 Angola 0 Seychelles 1 vs Zambia 3 Somalia 0 Ghana 4 Guinea-Bassau 0 Mali 0 Guinea 1 Mozambique 0 Ethiopia 2 Malawi 1 Sao Tome e Principe 0 Libya 2 October 11th Botswana 1 Lesotho 1 Burkina Faso 2 Central African Rep. 0 Niger 0 Algeria 3 October 12th Burundi 1 Gabon 0 Swaziland 2 Cape Verde Islands 1 Rwanda 1 Namibia 0 Congo 2 Sierra Leone 0 Zimbabwe 4 Mauritania 1
Re: I am le true champion Alphonse, Aside from it being annoying as hell for the pseudo french crap, this is a thread for posting predictions to the matches in question -- not for commentary or increasing your post count -- or whatever the reason that you post this junk. Predict the results and go elsewhere to play games.
I assume you are also including the posts from the previous thread: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59815
Yes I am, however in the future I will make a new thread for each matchday. Since I just started this now the predictions made in this thread as well as the previous thread will be counted. Remember, if you want to keep up the pace in the overall standings or in just the African standings there are a lot of matches in the Preliminary Round where you can pick up a lot of points, so if you haven't already posted your predictions get them in! October 10th is when it will begin!
October 10th Tanzania vs Kenya 1-4 Gambia vs Liberia 1-2 Sudan vs Eritrea 3-1 Uganda vs Mauritius 4-2 Madagascar vs Benin 2-1 Equatorial Guinea vs Togo 1-5 Chad vs Angola 0-8 Seychelles vs Zambia 0-7 Somalia vs Ghana 0-5 Guinea-Bassau vs Mali 0-8 Guinea vs Mozambique 3-2 Ethiopia vs Malawi 2-4 Sao Tome e Principe vs Libya 0-8 October 11th Botswana vs Lesotho 1-1 Burkina Faso vs Central African Rep. 7-0 Niger vs Algeria 1-7 October 12th Burundi vs Gabon 1-3 Swaziland vs Cape Verde Islands 4-0 Rwanda vs Namibia 3-0 Congo vs Sierra Leone 3-0 Zimbabwe vs Mauritania 9-0
Great to see some people posting but there are still a lot of you who have no predicted for these matches! Get in before it's too late! Also, a couple of notes: 1) Somolia has stated that they will not host their home match due to financial reasons. Therefore, both matches are scheduled to be played in November and both in Ghana, so predictions for that game will be carried over and if anyone wants to change their prediction on that match you can do that. 2) The Central African Rep. has recently withdrawn from the qualifying competition due to financial reasons. Therefore, Burkina Faso has advanced onto Round 2 by forfeit and predictions for that series have been erased.
Just wanted to remind you all that if you want to get in the prediction league or are already in it now is your chance to pick up a lot of points! Many people from the first qualifying matches in South American have not given their posts for the upcoming African qualifiers and time is running out! The matches will begin this friday so get them in! Also, if you want any advice on who to pick, you could read my article at www.soccerwriter.com which gives a brief description of each of the match-ups. Just click on "other libraries" on the left and then click the red link! Good luck everyone!
Here are the final results from the Leg 1 matches: (Note: the Burkina Faso-Central African Rep. and Ghana-Somolia matches were not included since they did not play.) Tanzania 0-0 Kenya Gambia 2-0 Liberia Sudan 3-0 Eritrea Uganda 3-0 Mauritius Madagascar 1-1 Benin Equatorial Guinea 0-1 Togo Chad 3-1 Angola Seychelles 0-4 Zambia Guinea-Bassau 1-2 Mali Guinea 1-0 Mozambique Ethiopia 1-3 Malawi Sao Tome e Principe 0-0 Libya Botswana 3-1 Lesotho Niger 0-1 Algeria Burundi 0-0 Gabon Swaziland 1-1 Cape Verde Islands Rwanda 3-0 Namibia Congo 1-0 Sierra Leone Zimbabwe 3-0 Mauritania CAF (African) Standings (Does not include points accumulated for the CONMEBOL (South America) matches) 1-desertfox2............................18pts 2-Forza AZ..............................16pts 2-Mario...................................16pts 2-MikeyPez..............................16pts 2-The Creeper..........................16pts 6-IASocFan..............................15pts 6-argentina soccer fan...............15pts 8-Che Matedor..........................14pts 9-miko.....................................13pts 9-kevbrunton............................13pts 11-eldiablito..............................12pts 12-beachesl..............................11pts 12-FlashMan.............................11pts 14-Saltenya94...........................10pts 15-Canadien Supporter.................9pts 16-The Truth Commission..............8pts 17-condor11...............................6pts Congrats to...me? lol I just happened to have some luck this time around, there will be many more African matches so it's still anybody's game! If you think your score should be different then what it is here let me know, I'll be doing a double check later tonight. Also, other people can still get in on it, so don't delay! And later tonight I will post the overall standings (these matches plus the first two matchdays in South America) in the main thread.
According to www.fifa.com a few results are not the same as you posted here: Equatorial Guinea 1-0 Togo Sao Tome e Principe 0-1 Libya Botswana 4-1 Lesotho
As Forza AZ has pointed out, those three results are wrong thanks to the great people working at BBC...it is just so annoying let me tell you. But anyway, here are the new standings after these revisions: 1-desertfox2...............................19pts 2-Che Matedor............................16pts 2-Forza AZ.................................16pts 2-Mario......................................16pts 2-MikeyPez.................................16pts 6-The Creeper.............................15pts 6-IASocFan.................................15pts 6-argentina soccer fan..................15pts 9-Saltenya94..............................13pts 9-miko.......................................13pts 9-kevbrunton..............................13pts 12-eldiablito................................12pts 13-beachesl................................11pts 13-FlashMan...............................11pts 13-Canadien Supporter..................11pts 16-The Truth Commision.................9pts 17-condor11................................5pts Only 7 of the 17 people playing were affected by the revisions. Again, if you have any questions just let me know.
Um, I hate to break it to ya, but you did actually lose a point. For the 3 matches in question, this is what you had: Equatorial Guinea 0-3 Togo Sao Tome e Principe 0-3 Libya Bostwana 3-1 Lesotho Scores I originally had: Equatorial Guinea 0-1 Togo Sao Tome e Principe 0-0 Libya Bostwana 3-1 Lesotho You originally got 1 point for the first match, 0 points for the second match, and 2 points for the third match. That's 3 points. Now here are the real results: Equatorial Guinea 1-0 Togo (-1 point) Sao Tome e Principe 0-1 Libya (+1 point) Bostwana 4-1 Lesotho (-1 point) -1 + +1 + -1 = -1 (Total of 2 points) At first I actually thought I did make a mistake lol. It's only 1 point though, plenty of time to catch up.
