It could be translated as "Shut the fvck up". I told him that because he's supposed to understand French and his post was SO stupid, like every others posts he writes.

I've seen you write in French a little before and I must admit that my "Ferme donc ta yeule" must be hard for you to understand, because this is not common French. I live in the Province of Québec, and here we use some words that you don't learn during classes (I assume you learnt you French at school?) like "yeule". The true word is "gueule" or "bouche". This is like your slang in English. "Ferme ta geule" is not very respectful.

Sorry if I made some mistakes, English is not my native language.

no mistakes, your english is fine.

So Quebec huh? my mom used to live there (in the late 60's and early 70's) so she taught me some french, actually its getting rusty :p

It is not getting le rusty, it was never good to begin with.

It seems I have le pressed on the wrong link, and gone to le rivalries forum instead of the FIFA one, tres strange. Maybe le Knave can look into it.

When people le ask this, do they really believe I would le do it? That would be le tres not smart indeed.

Kenya has not been in le great form lately, but it is a good thing for them that this game is still while off so they can le improve their form.

    Alphonse,

Aside from it being annoying as hell for the pseudo french crap, this is a thread for posting predictions to the matches in question -- not for commentary or increasing your post count -- or whatever the reason that you post this junk.

Predict the results and go elsewhere to play games.

Yes I am, however in the future I will make a new thread for each matchday. Since I just started this now the predictions made in this thread as well as the previous thread will be counted.

Remember, if you want to keep up the pace in the overall standings or in just the African standings there are a lot of matches in the Preliminary Round where you can pick up a lot of points, so if you haven't already posted your predictions get them in! October 10th is when it will begin!

Great to see some people posting but there are still a lot of you who have no predicted for these matches! Get in before it's too late!

    Also, a couple of notes:

    1) Somolia has stated that they will not host their home match due to financial reasons. Therefore, both matches are scheduled to be played in November and both in Ghana, so predictions for that game will be carried over and if anyone wants to change their prediction on that match you can do that.

    2) The Central African Rep. has recently withdrawn from the qualifying competition due to financial reasons. Therefore, Burkina Faso has advanced onto Round 2 by forfeit and predictions for that series have been erased.

Just wanted to remind you all that if you want to get in the prediction league or are already in it now is your chance to pick up a lot of points! Many people from the first qualifying matches in South American have not given their posts for the upcoming African qualifiers and time is running out! The matches will begin this friday so get them in!

Also, if you want any advice on who to pick, you could read my article at www.soccerwriter.com which gives a brief description of each of the match-ups. Just click on "other libraries" on the left and then click the red link! Good luck everyone!

Um, I hate to break it to ya, but you did actually lose a point. For the 3 matches in question, this is what you had:

    Equatorial Guinea 0-3 Togo
Sao Tome e Principe 0-3 Libya
    Bostwana 3-1 Lesotho

    Scores I originally had:

    Equatorial Guinea 0-1 Togo
Sao Tome e Principe 0-0 Libya
    Bostwana 3-1 Lesotho

You originally got 1 point for the first match, 0 points for the second match, and 2 points for the third match. That's 3 points. Now here are the real results:

Equatorial Guinea 1-0 Togo (-1 point)
Sao Tome e Principe 0-1 Libya (+1 point)
    Bostwana 4-1 Lesotho (-1 point)

    -1 + +1 + -1 = -1 (Total of 2 points)

At first I actually thought I did make a mistake lol. It's only 1 point though, plenty of time to catch up.
