Miami FC lost 0-9 Carolina Railhawks...at first I couldn't believe the scoreline, but the Miami Herald had a article: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/tota...s-in-team-history-zinhos-job-in-jeopardy.html
I never, EVER thought I would hear the words come out of mouth, but with this kind of performance, can you see why people don't want to come to the games?... This is absolutely EMBARASSING... and I think this game effectively ended our season and SOMETHING needs to happen. Whether it's Zinho's job or not, something needs to happen ASAP.
Whoa! Spoiler alert! I'm glad I didn't hit USLLive 1st for the whole match. That might have been a shock.
Truly horrendous performance. Can they take away points for losses like this? TRAFFIC, YOUR SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK. YOU CAN'T WIN FANS PLAYING LIKE THIS. GO TALK TO THE IMPACT AND TIMBERS AND DO EVERYTHING THEY TELL YOU. THANK YOU.
Here is some more info on the royal spanking: http://football-miami-n-beyond.blogspot.com/2009/08/blues-choked-by-railhawks-usl-rumors.html
Zinho's job is safe: what do you all think? http://miamiherald.typepad.com/total_futbol/2009/08/exclusive-zinhos-job-is-safe.html
Hmmmm 2 options 1.- Few games left (6) so lets stick it out 2.- Why change coach when Miami FC is shutting down next year?
Like the Timbers...last year?!! Go try and find an archive. They finished LAST! Next, try to check their attendance numbers last year, when just to remind everyone again, they finished LAST! And only then start the "winning fans" argument using a comparison as to how the Timbers should be used as the yardstick. Next, let's check Montreal during the 1st half of THIS season. They were HORRIBLE! Losing every single game. Last place for a while. Check the attendance. If Miami fans were 1/10th of what Portland and Montreal fans are, Miami FC would've succeeded a long time ago. People in Miami like to bitch and moan, but nobody does a thing to support what they have and try to make it better.
On field performance is only part of the problem. Miami FC has been run in a manner not worthy of an amateur team, much less a professional one. Montréal and Portland may not be top level teams(yet), but they have presented themselves as such and fans have responded. Montréal has their own stadium. Portland and Vancouver have some of their games on local television. Things like this make a HUGE impact on a team's image. Act like a class organization and fans will treat you like one. Don't and you're Miami FC.
