There's a reason he played on the U-17 team instead of the U-19 team, although he was probably their best player.

NYCFC in recent years has had the best U-17's and U-19's playing on the U-19 team. NYCFC loaded up the U-19 team, and might send them down to the U-17's for a tournament like the GA Cup or the DA playoffs.

I guess those guys trying to sign for something like BVB instead of mighty Reading.

Reyna, Scally and Jasson all played with the U-19's in their U-16 season. Gray was added for the U-17 season.

I apologize if this has already been posted and I missed it, but four of 03 CB Niklas Dossman's appearances for Mainz u17 are view-able in full at this youtube account:

I've never seen him play or anything. Just noticed him in spreadsheets and found it by accident. You'd want to watch the games labeled u17 against Wehen, Hoffenheim, Stuttgart, and SpVgg Unterhaching.

Looks like a solid but unspectacular #8 type with good size and mobility, composure on the ball and the ability to pass and combine.

I think Roberts is more creative and more of a #10.

Another young American training with the first team.

Las after signing is immediately on the bench for the U-23's. He was the only '02 in the match-day roster.

Should be on u17 team. The only possible thing holding him back is strength it seems.
