not too long ago there was a pop warner group in area with the same problem. 50 or 60k i think. i know a girl whose mother was stealing from her company to supports 6 show horses & show expenses for her. sad for the girl...she didn't do anything wrong but got alot of grief for it. where there is money..there is temptation
Not far from where I live, there was a regional school business administrator who was supporting a stable of racehorses thanks to what he was taking from the school accounts. Not that I am connecting this to horses, but gambling is often the underlying reason that people do this and it's just as likely a woman as a man. It seems we had an epidemic not so long ago in our area of female bank employees who were tapping their accounts to support their trips to Foxwood Casinos. 9 out of 10 times they sincerely thought they were just "borrowing" the money.
this has happened in other cities such as Evansville, Indiana. The crime is covered up or rich individuals and corporations replace the funds and the guilty person is asked to leave the organization.
