Mr. Bee approaches you and says he wants to invest the minimum required to get the team into 3rd place, with a view to investing more in 2016-2017 once there is a solid foundation on which to build. Which players do you buy, and which do you sell? Personally, I would: Keep: Mexes, Van Ginkel, and if possible De Jong. Mexes has been mediocre at best, but he is the best of a bad lot, and I would rather spend the money to get one really good defender than two more Palettas. Buy: One good CM and one good CB, maybe Romagnoli and Verratti. Trade: Menez, if we can find a decent attacker for the money. He has been good for us, but he is selfish. Loan: SES - let him get some more experience in a lower-pressure environment. Start: Lopez DSG Mexes Romagnoli Antonelli Van Ginkel De Jong Verratti Mastour Niang Menez (or traded player) Bench: Bonaventura, Suso, Mastalli, Abate, Saponara, Paletta Ditch: EVERYONE ELSE ... by 2020 roma will have relocated to mls. maybe then they could finally win something but will probably finish 2nd.
depends how much he costs us. i loved his play for arsenal. he never fit in at barca. i really didn't understand that move. total dumbass move at the WC this summer. i saw him play a few times for west ham earlier this year, and he'd be an improvement in our midfield from what i've seen.
