Remember when Iheanacho trained with us a while back. How did he even find his way to us as a location to train?
Wasn't that when Kreis was part of the MCFC setup as the NYCFC coach in waiting? I think he called GB about it.
Yes. Precourt is going to spend 30 million on a transfer fee plus 100k a week wages. You might want to lower your expectations as to who the Crew can and will sign.
We need the make one big splash with a young sure thing. I'd say Pulisic is realistic even would take Julian Green at this point.
You really can't be serious. Why on earth would you think Pulisic is realistic? Or Iheanacho? Would love to hear this argument.
Stfu already about pulisic. Its so dumb for so many reasons i cant even be bothered. Cincy game is starting.
Crew season went just like a video game and was not realistic. Record : 21 wins 10 Draws 3 Losses Won Supporters Shield and Open Cup (Sucks CCL is not the n the gm for MLS teams) Lost the last two games of the year against playoff teams and the team lost form. Round 1 faced NYFC and drew both games but thankfully the 2-2 draw was on the road. Round 2 faced NYRB and the hot GK I sold them. Lost 2-1 on the road before smashing them 4-2 at home Sold out Crowds and Mapfre for 15/20 games MLS Cup Final was vrs The Whitecaps and the hero of the most unlikely arose and his name was Mensah. Higuain put the nail in the Coffin and we won the hardware with a 2-0 victory ! Stats: Notable ones Steffen had 17 CS! Higuain had 17 goals and 5 assists Manneh had 13 goals and 10 assists Artur had 6 goals Afful had 5 goals and 4 assists Raitala had 3 and 2 assists Youth System found 3 good players and a few bad ones. A GK,LM both 65 overall and a CAM at 60ovr Easily won Manager of the year
Here's the thing man, young players with big talent and an enormously high ceiling will only be interested in playing at the highest level where they can get playing time. There's absolutely no reason to come to MLS. Manchester City might send some guys down to NYCFC, but you haven't seen Iheanacho for a reason. Elite young players at the elite clubs will just go on loan to lesser teams in the Top 5 leagues or to the best teams in lesser leagues. America's not the top choice for development so no matter how much money we throw out there (and you know the Crew never will)....it's not enough to bother with MLS. Players like Artur are our most realistic hope as far as bringing in young guys with potential go.
Money talks and in order to make MLS a top league we need to start making money and investing it in better players to raise the overall level of play.
Iheanacho maybe on loan. Pulisic same thing but I think last year or the year before we could have actually bought him. We still could get Pulisic now he would be no more expensive then a Givinico (sp?) but our owner will not spend big money to that's what makes it unrealistic
You are utterly deluded. How much do you think Pulisic would cost in a transfer fee? There are not many clubs that he is leaving Dortmund for. Iheanacho is not coming to MLS on loan.
I cannot believe you think Pulisic is a realistic transfer to MLS, let alone the Crew. Go back to drinking and leave the soccer to rational people.
It really sounds like FIFA games have distorted your soccer reality. At no point in time would Pulisic ever have been on the table for us. You're the only one who thinks its possible and that we should be targeting players of that age and caliber. It's not that we're selling ourselves short....thats just not how the world of soccer works.
With this owner your correct but in late 2015 early 2016 Pulisic could be had. As far as loans it just depends on the team loaning their players preference. If you try the worst that happens is they say no.
FVCKING STOP YOUR NONSENSE ALREADY. When one person tells you you're wrong, it's an opinion. When two people tell you you're wrong, it's debatable. When literally everyone tells you you're wrong, you're wrong.
