Trouble in Naples? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-turned-madcap-chairman-crisis-continues.html
To be fair, two reasonably good teams. There will hopefully be some football played. I'd rather watch those two play than, say, Man U v Brighton (although a defeat for the former would be enjoyable!)
Yeah, I guess middle of the day NHL game (???) is more important than 2 bottom teams, which is understandable. What the hell happened to Norwich? They looked so dangerous earlier this season but now are stepping all over their collective dicks. Couldn't be happier that they did this after playing Citeh though...
Chelsea up to 2nd. While Liverpool could go 9 clear of City, they can only go at most 8 points ahead of Chelsea. If Leicester beat Arsenal they will be level with Chelsea. If tomorrow goes the way we want it to, City could find themselves in 4th.
Chelsea and Leicester reminding us that this MIGHT not be a 2 horse race....but is probably still a 2 horse race...
I think Chelsea and Leicester’s form is more of a concern for Man United, Arsenal, and Tottenham. The top 4 is beginning to take shape.
It blows my mind that with such a historic start we've had to this season even teams that were "struggling" at some points are still so close. The strength in this league, or the disparity between the "haves" and "have nots" is wild.
I have never thought it was a two horse race. It’s only been 11 matches so far and there are plenty of slips ‘twixt lip and cup. I do think if Chelsea had not had the transfer ban imposed, it would have gone and brought in a load of high profile names and unlikely to be in that position. Leicester needed somebody to make better use of the players it had rather than adhere to a rigid philosophy. And Rodgers is fantastic at that. Spurs will finally get its rhythm back I’m sure but by golly it’s making hard work of it.
By the way, West Ham has some fantastic players, (as an alternative to Southampton.) They just happen to be putting in some underwhelming performances. Some bargains to be had there surely?
From all accounts the supporters are putting too much pressure on the team to make it happen. I just fear that they will get a good manager.
Oh I'd love them to get Mourinho for the comedy factor. I don't really consider him a good manager anymore however. There isn't much out there at the moment - but at the end of the season there are always coaches around. Allegri is available now - but I doubt he'd come.
That was another good line from the comms. Arsenal should get BR as manager. Like that was something desirable.
well - Rodgers has rehabbed his image very quickly. He’s done wonders with Leeeeechester since coming back. Plus - the media loves pushing the agenda for British managers taking “top 4” jobs.
I think we're in a more than a two horse race-- Chelsea and Leicester are there on merit even though it's only the 12th game of the season. Leicester has the advantage of not having a fixtures pile-up because of European matches. We need to keep up our performances. I bet a bunch of Chelsea fans are hoping the transfer ban stays as the youngsters who are coming through look quite decent. James, Gilmour, Timori, Mount, (possibly Zouma) and Abraham would never have been in consideration at all had that ban not been imposed.
Rumours are that Ederson, David Silva and Rodri are fit to play. Klopp said he didn't believe the injury news that a while ago, didn't he? By the way, can it be 4:30pm already, please? The incessant cliche-laden build up on radio and TV is mentally draining.
