At the last France U20 v Japan U20, the Japanese goalie had a kind of American name : Hannah Stambaugh
Yes, but she's Japanese: not sure if she also have American citizenship (unless it's automatic if you father is from USA). She lived all time in Japan and she always played for Japanese National Youth Teams. She's currently INAC Kobe Leonessa's 2nd GK.
The Concacaf Caribbean qualifiers start soon and Jamaica has a US-heavy squad: Jamaica Squad Marlo Sweatman, Chris-Ann Chambers, Chinyelu Asher, Ashleigh Shim, Allyson Swaby, Deneisha Blackwood, Keona Simmonds, Dominique Bond-Flasza, Lauren Silver, Yazmeen Jamieson, Konya Plummer, Khadija Shaw, Jadyn Matthews, Trudi Carter, Kevena Reid, Latoya Duhaney, Giselle Washington, Chantelle Swaby and Shantell Thompson. As usual, I can't confirm dual citizenship on most players, but the highlighted ones went to high school in the US. Asher has also represented the Cayman Islands. She was born in Jamaica, but raised in the US. Chantell Swaby has been in camp with the US before.
Jamaica beat Guadeloupe 13-0. Haven't found the final goal scorers, but here are the ones from the 1st half: The Jamaicans are so far being led by Khadija Shaw who has so far notched four goals in the 4th, 37th, 42nd and 45th minutes. Deneisha Blackwood (22nd), captain Konya Plummer (33rd) and Dominique Bond-Flasza (43rd) were the other scorers.
Got the 2nd half details: The massacre was led by striker Khadija Shaw who scored six times — in the 4th, 37th, 42nd, 45th, 62nd and 73rd minute — followed by a brace from Dominique Bond-Flasza (43rd, 70th) and 17-year-old Giselle Washington (61st, 79th) making her senior team debut. There were one apiece from Deneisha Blackwood (23rd), captain Konya Plummer (33rd) and another Under-20 representative substitute Kevena Reid (83rd), also making her senior team debut.
The game report: Jamaica – Yazmeen Jamieson, Lauren Silver, Konya Plummer, Chinyelu Asher, Marlo Sweatman (Jadyn Matthews 76th), Khadija Shaw, Deneisha Blackwood (Kevena Reid 64th), Dominique Bond-Flasza, Allyson Swaby, Trudi Carter (Ashleigh Shim 53rd), Giselle Washington. Subs not used: Chris-Ann Chambers, Keona Simmonds, Shantell Thompson, Lotoya Duhaney, Chantelle Swaby
Guadeloupe: THIS close to being respectable....It's matches like this that prompt me to argue that FIFA needs to create a qualifying system for WC qualifying, which would ideally reduce the number of teams in the qualifying regions--especially those with a bunch of tiny countries with weak soccer programs---and shorten/streamline the long, drawn-out process. You can't compete in the NCAA soccer championship, or the pro-league playoffs, just because you field a soccer team--you must have some record of success/achievement in order to qualify--and then the best teams battle for the title. FIFA should do something similar with the WC, which is completely bloated and ridiculous when one considers that only 15 countries, at most, are good enough to win the WC, but months and months and months must be spent playing matches see if nations like Guadeloupe might qualify. I've got nothing against Guadeloupe or small countries or nations with bad soccer teams, but I also don't think time and money should be wasted giving every country in the world a chance to qualify. It's simply not practical. I apologize if this sounds harsh--but we don't spend more than two years in this country on qualifying to determine which NFL teams should qualify for the playoffs and then the Super Bowl. ("And in qualifying game number 29 in the Midwest Region, ladies and gentlemen, the Green Bay Packers will be playing the semi-professional Toledo Mudcats....") The whole "world cup" thing is, IMO, a bit out of control.
The Confederations themselves organizies the WC and WWC qualification in their region, FIFA just decide home many spots they get.

Jamaica had beaten Martinique 3-0 before the final group match: The Jamaicans made heavy weather of the contest before second half goals from Chinyelu Asher (60th), Trudi Carter (73rd) and the prolific Khadija Shaw (75th), eventually saw them wrapping up proceedings.

She would require a formal one-time switch, if she hasn't already filed. Can't confirm US citizenship for Alex Godinez, but she was born in Mexico (which allows her to play for Pachuca), but has been in the US since age 2. Assuming she's not a DACA kid, then she's a Green Card holder at least. She lists a Colorado hometown while she was at DePaul.
