Anna Bialczak of the University of Tennessee is in camp for a Polish WNT opportunity: http://utsports.com/news/2017/7/3/soccer-bialczak-begins-polish-national-team-trial.aspx Bialczak, the forward/midfielder from Lutherville, Maryland, is training alongside other U.S. and Canada-based players who are eligible to play for the Polish national team. During the 11-day camp, her group will compete in matches against three Polish professional teams: July 5 against Unifreeze Gorno, July 8 against Medykiem Konin and July 12 against UKS LKS Lódz. Sounds like there are other Yanks there as well.

I had disliked Cuellar for years: now I have one more reason to do it and to be happy that he was finally kicked out of his "eternal" Mexican leadership.

Women's Soccer Zone has put together a guide to the Euros, including an interview with Amanda DaCosta. You can download the PDF here: http://www.womenssoccerzone.com/download/euro-2017-guide-womens-soccer-zone/ On December 1, 2015, in the western Spanish city of Badajoz, Amanda DaCosta made her competitive debut for Portugal as she came on as a second half substitute against Spain. After spending nearly half of her soccer-playing career in the United States Youth National Team set up, this was a moment that was many years in the making. DaCosta, who has had plenty of successful moments on the field, including winning a pair of FA WSL titles with Liverpool Ladies, had never experienced an opportunity something like this. And in the moments prior to her stepping onto the field for her new team, that was when the emotions hit. “Always being a representative of the US and then suddenly being a representative of Portugal, it took me a little while to feel that passion that the Portuguese feel,” said DaCosta. “Because there really is such a passion there, the whole culture is like that and it’s just filled with love and when I went into that game against Spain, I was like ‘wow, this is real now, this is actually happening and I’m representing my family and the whole history of who I am’ and it really came together. I was able to see my dad and he was so excited. He had his Portugal scarf on and was crying and smiling and I cried a little. It was surreal and I would never forget about it.” Due to her Portuguese background, [Liverpool] asked if she was a European citizen and at the time she was not. But after doing the research and working with her parents, she was able to gain dual citizenship with both the United States and Portugal. And that’s when the phone starting ringing from the Portugal Football Federation. However, with her heart set on trying to crack the United States squad, she declined the opportunity to play for Portugal, on multiple occasions. As the seasons went by, the phone calls kept coming and eventually in 2015, she found solace in making a change of her career plans. “I think that’s why I turned the opportunity down [to play for Portugal] so many times because ever since I was 14, I was in with the US youth program until I was 23. I was pretty much all in with trying to make the US team happen. I wore the gear, I went to the camps, I did it all.”
