Have your season ticket card in your pocket the first few games in case they don't let you through. I think I will snap pictures of mine for this season just in case I forget to grab my tickets on the way out the door one day.
speaking of ticket cards, why cant they make the River End cards a different color from the rest of the stadium? that way we can just flash the card when we walk by, and not have to stand there and wait while they read the section number. its a terribly inefficient process. shocking, right?
They aren’t even consistent with how they let people out of sections 136/137 you think they can handle printing maybe 1,000 ticket cards a different color
Nothing better than watching a team blow another game in the final few minutes and then being barricaded into TRE with 100's of other angry fans.
Maybe the colors were different, but they still stopped everyone at the entrance to check tickets and read section numbers. Would it be "so Union" to attempt a fix but fail to tell security and staff about it?
I know we've got a lot of problems... but these guys out in Minnesota are really trying to shut this thread down. Sources: Just a couple weeks after claiming him, Minnesota United have waived Simon Dawkins: https://t.co/SKChUNR03n— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) March 2, 2018
I didn't even know they claimed him off of waivers. Minnesota's GM is to wingers as Nick Sak is to goalkeepers
That team really is a clown show.... they thought they could roll into MLS with a NASL roster last year... it's like they bought into the NASL-FanBoy kool-aid that their isn't a huge gap in talent.
Sounds familiar. Wait, no our stadium is a mess too. (Yeah yeah the stadium is nice blah blah, I'm talking about all the memes surrounding parking and the pie-in-the-sky development plans surrounding it.)
The stadium has a nice view but it was done on the cheap. Don't get me wrong, I love going to games but it's not as nice as most other stadiums in the league.
It's a tough call on the stadium. In 2010 everyone was thrilled, but then MLS came alive and every single stadium since PPL has been well ahead of it. Well ahead of it. [and as far as the bathroom situation... the Linc built a score earlier figured that out better than PPL/Talen]
I think Talen stacks up pretty well versus other MLS stadiums. I've been to RSL, LAG, MTL, NYRB, DCU, SJU and SEA, and each has positives and negatives. Some seem to have fewer bathrooms than Talen and even lack partitions between tight urinals (my personal pet peeve), other have terrible beer selections, artificial turf, no cup holders, etc. There are plenty of frustrations at Talen, but I think we've got it pretty good compared to others (although LAFC's new place looks pretty nice!).
Yeah, I think Talen is pretty great. Physically as a stadium. I am very curious to see the MN United stadium when it's done. I pass it every day on my way to work in St. Paul and it's nice to see the progress. If done right I think the location can be a great game day experience.
This is silly, but I love that the Union/Talen keeps adding murals... adds some character to the building... it’s a great idea and very “philly”
The one with the liberty bell is awesome. Would be so perfect as an alternate logo on a 3rd jersey, but that will never happen
They are too busy proclaiming how great they are for making jerseys with hoops that just look like blue training kits from 10 feet away and further. Using iconic imagery from the city of Philadelphia? Pfft. They're trying to sell jean jackets with little patches like its 1987. They are "bold" and "edgy." At least that's what state TV the club Twitter feed says.
Tee-hee - (from an email I got this morning) "We noticed your tickets went unused for our recent match against [OPPONENT], and we missed you! We want our fans to get the most out of their [PLAN TYPE], and we hope that includes you. Mark Your Calendar Your next match is on [NEXT PLAN MATCH]. Don't miss your chance to see the Union take on [NEXT OPPONENT] at Talen Energy Stadium."
I keep getting the same VM on my cell every few days: "Hi! This is Nick calling from the Philadelphia Union. I'm calling because we actually have an amazing offer that just came out. But it is going quick! My phone number is 215-645-4785. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!" Any idea what this is about? Who is Nick? Why is he calling from a 215 number? Why would he be calling me on the same phone number that is linked to my Season Ticket Member profile to sell me tickets? Shouldn't any minimally decent sales software flag me as a current customer and remove my phone number?
