Hopefully this thread worthy to keep. Anyone receive their certificates yet? FIFA stated that they will pass them out during April. I've heard a few people received theirs already and consulates are requesting them instead of printed emails.
its utter bullshit... i will call the visa agency who is assisting me during my lunch break, to see if the houston consulate has started denying applications with ticket emails/screenshots.... FIFA is just so ridiculous....
Never receieved my certificate and got my visa last week April 14th. Apparently some people showed up after my visit with certificates. As I recall you need the certificate to pick up the game tickets too?
the ticket certificate is definitely a good backup in case your credit card is not working at the ticket kiosk however its not required.
So is the certificate is just a badge of acknowledgement? Fine with me, I'll definitely frame it after the WC.
So, is the certificate only if you didn't or for the tickets to be delivered? Or does everybody get a certificate?
STILL WAITING ON CERTIFCATE >>.......<< FML... i need this to process my visa..i am going to call fifa and see if i can get any help with this bullshit
That's unfortunate for you, I would feel just as frustrated if I were you. Last minute stuff are very stressful Good question, I'm not sure...I'm assuming everyone should receive theirs. Side Note: Check the mail today and nothing still.
If you bought tickets after January 30th then you won't get tickets delivered. You will have to pick them up in brasil. However ticket certificate are being mailed in April to everyone
I too assumed ticket certificates would be mailed to everyone but apparently not. Here's the e-mail I received from FIFA today: Dear Customer, Thank you for contacting the FIFA Ticketing Centre. We can confirm that you will receive an Official Ticket Purchase Confirmation Certificate if you: -Are a resident outside of Brazil and did not request your tickets to be delivered, or -Are a resident of Brazil and paid for your Tickets with Boleto, and did not request your Tickets to be delivered These are scheduled to be sent to the Main Applicant’s postal address from April 2014 onwards. Ticket Certificates can be used in conjunction with your official ID in order to collect your Tickets from one of the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centres in Brazil, and can also be used to support your application should you require a VISA for travel and entry into Brazil. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards Mary Dwan General Public Ticketing Representative FIFA Ticketing Centre
in regards to visa app, all you need is ticket proof of purchase (email, screenshot while logged in etc) if you are applying through houston consulate.
FWIW, the consulate in Brazil was a breeze to deal with. I had to wait an hour for my turn, but the actual time at the window was under 2 minutes. Their processing time is close to two weeks right now. They had sample instructions and showed that the email from FIFA was the proof that they were looking for.
Concerning the ticket proof/screenshot: Will the Houston consulate accept it for 3 people if it only shows my name? My parents name are not on it. :/
according to that email from FIFA they can be used for ticket pickup in Brazil. But you don't NEED one to pick up as long as you have your credit card and photo ID. Is that correct?
What should I bring? (from the FIFA email) The payment card used to pay for the Tickets Your Ticket Request ID (s) Photographic proof of identity such as a driving licence or passport,
To pick up the ticket? payment card, ID linked t. the acccount (passport) and email printed. Regarding your parents and the visa you could print the inventory of your fifa acc their names should be there as guests under successful purchased
Hi, Jupal, So do you mean a screenshot of the Ticketing page on the FIFA website, that shows the name of the "registered guests". That's the only page I see that shows their names, too. Sorry, I really need this spelled out for me, because I don't want them turning me away when I go to the consulate on Tuesday. lol [EDIT: I *think* I figured it out. I went to my Ticketing page and then scrolled down to "Previous Requests". Clicked "Successful" button and it showed my parents name. PHEW! Thnx!]
Will everyone who had ticket pick up in Brazil definitely receive a certificate? I'm in the US and will have a very difficult time obtaining a visa without one. Maybe someone can shed light on when certificates were received for the World Cup in 2010?
