I was hating FIFA, Russia, this world cup, and soccer generally... All until I started watching yesterday.
Yesterdays Spain-Portugal match and today's Argentina-Iceland matches were fantastic. What's up with the FS1 HD signal being so terrible? The FS1 standard def signal looks normal but the HD signal pixellates constantly and is unwatchable.
TC - Sometimes in the middle of getting your heart ripped out of your chest even the hottest guy seems like a waste of time. I apologize if what I just wrote was dramatic. Trying to convey feelings via words is not always... simple. To compensate, I bought a couple of old(ish) USA jerseys for the kids. What do the ladies call that? Retail therapy?
Well maybe he will be a Argentina fan by default he does remember that is Federico’s brother. I assume you told him
I still wish we could sign Higuaín brother if not we need to give Higuain back up money and find a new CAM in my opinion
Of course. He has known. We are rooting for a new WC winner! Cleveland sports fans. Always rooting for the underdog.
I’m all for that want to see Columbia win. If not them I would like to see a Portugal vrs Argentina final. I’m a Messi fan but appreciate them both. But for Brazil , Germany , France , Spain all to get knocked out is unrealistic. Out of those teams I like Brazil always love the way they play.
I always liked JP D in the past. These announcers are crap. The feed/pixellation is crap. The WC Tonight highlight show is crap. It’s pretty bad when Gingerclown is the best analyst!
US Open golf is on Big Fox all afternoon. Disappointed to see Fox concludes golf will get more viewers than the WC. Different if USA were in the WC? Or soccer has a longer way to climb in the US than we think.
I have Fubo and the HD is only HD when things slow down or they focus on one player. When it's widescreen, 20 guys running around... it looks ok, not great, and sometimes I get the weird pixel blast. I care about this WC a lot less than others, but @TrueCrew is right. It has been quite a show already. For the record, I'm supporting Costa Rica. They're CONCACAF, they're not Mexico, and they have some quality. (Kind of like Ohio State fans supporting the Big Ten in bowl games... unless it's Michigan.) BTW I was surprised to read that Keylor Navas is 6' 1". If you had asked me how tall he was from watching Champions League, I would have said 5' 8" or 5' 9". Anyway Costa Rica almost certainly won't get out of the group, so I'm not star chasing, and once the tournament gets into the knockout rounds, I can watch as a neutral and not feel disappointed by any result. There's no chance of residual hate for a team that knocked out the US [cough cough Ghana cough Germany cough Belgium cough]. If Costa Rica do get out of the group, I have a feel-good story I can latch onto. "My team" is making a run and all that. I'm not criticizing anyone here - to each his or her own - but I don't hate the commentators and analysts. None of them are Toby Charles, aka "Das Gold Standard", but I don't hate them. I'm actually ok with John Strong, Meola (which surprises me), and Stu Holden.
fox have done a good job with their app. their choice of analysts is shit, their choice or commentators is shit. and to re-iterate Alexi Lalas is a douche and if hired immediately makes me question a networks commitment. and i disagree stu holden is not good
I wake to everyone morning thankful for that. Argentina are going out in the group stage. Schmeichel was brilliant for Denmark. Nigeria might be the disappointment so far. Enjoyed the shackle draggers being screwed by VAR
So I can use the Fox app to watch for free ? I use to have cable so I thought that’s why I wasn’t charged. I want to watch that gm
LOL! I’ve noted hostility toward Wales, Scotland, and Australia. So how do you feel about (or should I say “aboat”) Canada? New Zealand?
Mexico gets a lot of no-calls, it happens a lot. Germany appears to be sleepwalking, they've shown little flair, and no dangerous shots, everything right at the keeper.
