Don’t forget that he’s practically solidified the DM spot for the NT as well. I don’t get it either.

Maybe the headbutt during the World Cup and the red card in the CL final turned certain teams off?

he had a bid from Roma, problem was they wanted a loan deal with an option to buy. I can't remember the numbers but I think it was 5m for the loan and the option to buy for 15m. Something to do with FFP.

Zenit offered the 20m upfront (his release clause). Regardless, im happy with him at Zenit. I don't lose my mind over huge teams and crap anymore personally.

(im also lowkey horrified of the mexicans)

I'd rather him at Zenit and having sole posession of the starting spot then at Roma battling Nzonzi, definitely could have been worse. I think he could have gotten a move to a bigger club, but I'd still prioritize him playing every week.

It's dumb, but if he keeps showing what he has Zenit will be the jump off for a big club, just so much wasted value on Colombians in the European market.

yeah seems we've upped our "cool" factor these years but we still aren't as "cool" as brazilians and argies yet.

im also not completely sold on whether he'll be guaranteed a starting 11 spot there, with Kranevitter there.

    Bingo.

In his most important National team match and his most important Club team match he seemed to lose his cool and his passing was pretty awful at times. I think the pressure got to him.

And if any scout saw the way he played against the USA in Tampa they would have been turned off too. Played a bit too brutal without much finesse,

His last two head butts made me not like him with the national team. I mean he is young but now with Var you can’t get away with shit like that. Dude has to keep his cool

Too many things add up. There was also an incident in the first leg of the Libertadores in the Bombonera where he grabbed a River player by the neck and tried to intimidate him.

I was like what in the world is he doing?

When a team scout a player.............isnt like in certain matches. Is a long proccess of a bunch of matches and team wont "discard" a player because a match that they dont like it. the fact that

ZENIT have bought before a lot of players from argentina, that also was in the radar of other teams.

    And Roma offered

Usually when someone quotes someone in a discussion it is to have a conversation with them and to discuss their point.
If he has you on ignore it is much more difficult to have a counter-point to your point.

    @pibe10 @ryu79

As i reported in previous days a post with the same intention with no relevancy, i only can see mock and trolling of this user agaisnt me. I remember you that yesterday i reported a post when he was mocking that furnaccio ignored me, when we were just posting football.

Dont understand why is so difficult to keep a topic in football.

I am not mocking you any more than the way you address Crzd.

Just stating facts and directing those facts to your attention.

Agree but he has done a lot of Wtf are you doing in the past year with Var that shit won’t fly. I know some teams want aggressive guys like a Gattaso.

Another probable cause he didn’t go to a better team and most likely

    A.) no EU passport
    B.) too expensive
C:) every euro team was dead broke last transfer window or afraid of FFP

Like pep said Tottenham, Everton, AC Milan and Roma wanted him. Just none had the funds for it. Other then a loan with options to buy at the end

I think that Laborde was the best in performance...........maybe the ton of argentinians and the ecuatorian will help his adapatation.

Yeah maybe that was a factor........but if a team have scouted well, also will know that red card was the first one since his arrival to boca.

dont know his record in tolima.

The guy didnt want to stay more in argentina.......where the press started an agenda agaisnt him recently (maybe a racist issue). Maybe if he would wait until june or he moved after the world cup he would forced a move to a epl team that wanted him....................but the risk of stay at boca was high that maybe alfaro would be forced by press to bench him

If those WTF moments didn’t happen maybe those teams would have made sure those funds were there rather than do the loan with option to buy.

In either case, Zenit is probably the best place to be of all the Russian teams, I just hope he quickly adapts to the culture and weather - I watched Rocky IV too many times ;)

His teammate who scored a brace is Iranian. Maybe he will give him inside tips about Queiroz's formations and what will be asked of him.:p
