There must be lasagna. This is the only acceptable meal on St. Totteringham's Day.

so now it's being pushed that the 2022 world cup should be moved to the winter.....great, well done...*slow claps*
wtf were they playing at giving it to a country unable to host it at a time to suit almost every other country, and certainly all the major ones? what a joke of a decision. i sincerely hope all the major countries just say "no" and withdraw, and the major clubs put pressure on them to do so. maybe they could agree to all put out non-pro players for every single game if forced to provide a team. if the non-summer leagues (almost all) turn something that will already be a farce into a complete and utter embarrassment for fifa, maybe fifa will stop thinking they are invincible and get their corrupt house in order.
while i know he didn't vote, i'm disgusted with my own countryman jim boyce as vice-president of fifa taking part in this propaganda exercise. he's normally a straight up and sensible man.

So I guess they finally admitted that you can't air condition an outdoor stadium when it's 115 degrees outside.

They wanted to give the World Cup to countries that have never hosted it before. Fine, Australia would have been a better choice. Plus the Aussies aren't going to throw a fit about your sexual orietation or where you live.

Thats true, as a nation there are only 2 things in this country we cant stand.
People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

Just have to avoid the bogan areas and you are set :D

Well I think I covered that with where you live because it would be interesting to see what will happen if Israel were to qualify.

They should move the World Cup out here to AZ. After all, the Phoenix Metropolitan Area is not only larger than Qatar but also has double the population. Plus we already have two domed stadiums that could host games. Think about it...

And that is how I think it will be done in the end in Qatar. They have the money to build big indoor stadiums and will probably have the roof closed for day games and open for night games (yes, I know the heat is still a bitch at night.)

And yes, I understand FIFA will say that they are against dome stadiums but remember that this is FIFA we are talking about.

How many domes would they build? Are they really going to build ten dome stadiums in an area smaller than Connecticut? The whole thing is amazingly stupid. I thought at first if they shared it with Bahrain and the UAE it would make more sense, but honestly you would have to bring in the entire Arabian peninsula and switch it to winter for it to work.

The World Cup is supposed to be be a month-long party for the visiting supporters. Not sure how fun being in Qatar for a month is gonna be for people.

I'm still betting the World Cup gets pulled from Qatar. According to Blatter,

There is far too much potential for embarrassment when you cram a few hundred thousand merrymakers into the middle of Qatar for 1 month during the summer, and there has been far too much backlash for a re-vote to go the same way.

To be honest, he's always been one. We just overlooked it because he played for us and was doing well.
