Nunes sues Twitter parody account of him, followers multiply: Devin Nunes is having a cow over this. The lawsuit accuses “Devin Nunes’ Cow” of false claims to its 1,204 Twitter followers including "He’s udder-ly worthless," it's "pasture time to move him to prison” and “Devin is whey over his head in crime.” https://t.co/pimQA9A0KM— George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) March 19, 2019 Goddam this is freaking hilarious pic.twitter.com/RTtFGkpedL— Andrew Lawrence (@ndrew_lawrence) March 19, 2019 1107828063776067589 is not a valid tweet id now it's quadrupled it's followers. One of those embedded videos has Nunes complaining about emails from Twitter. I'm not making that up.
Well isn't this embarrassing... https://t.co/4FUAWEOWr2— Devin Nunes’ Alt-Mom (@NunesAlt) March 19, 2019 1107789765926109185 is not a valid tweet id
No way that Devin Nunes isn’t trailed by someone wearing a cow outfit at future campaign events, right?— Clara Jeffery (@ClaraJeffery) March 19, 2019 1107849116116226048 is not a valid tweet id Someone merits a swift kick in the dairy-erre for that one. This was one of the reactions. @All_Day_SCIfi Replying to @SuperSpacedad @AdamWeinstein What percentage of White men who fought for the Confederacy were too poor to own slaves? So what motives did they have to fight for the slave owners? Historians do not seem to address those questions. Too Po to own slaves. Now days we say "Too Po to afford insurance." So they vote for trump. Address that question.
If anyone wants to read the actual Complaint. https://www.scribd.com/document/402297422/Nunes-Complaint-3-18-19 It is precious, they quote some of the tweets about him, including: "falsely accused Nunes of being a “lying piece of shit” “the most despicably craven GOP public official” and that “Devin might be a unscrupulous, craven, back-stabbing, charlatan and traitor, but he’s no Ted Cruz”; Come on, that last one is a compliment! Oh, they have a bit of an uphill climb on their hands. Paragraph 31. "Twitter’s actions affected the election results." Except that Nunes managed to win reelection.
This one is patently false. Maybe in 2017 this is the case, but in the past year-and-some-change, Lindsay Graham is totally kicking everyone's ass in the craven contest.
His lawyer is Steven S. Biss, who, according to his LinkedIn page, can add this to his resume. "North American Soccer League (N.A.S.L.), Fourth Round Draft Pick, Toronto Blizzard, F.C. 1983" The complaint demands that twitter turn over the names of the uses behind "Devin Nunes Mom" [too bad it is not his actual mom, as she has apparently complained] and Devin Nunes' Cow [oh, please, let it be an actual cow], because: "The identity of those behind these Twitter accounts is a matter of great public concern. Whether the accounts are controlled by wealthy Democrats, theDemocratic National Committee, an opposition research firm, such as Fusion GPS [http://www.fusiongps.com/], the “Russians”, the “Chinese”, or some other foreign government or non-governmental organization (NGO), the corruption of American Democracy and society by intentional falsehoods, fraud and defamation must stop."
Every once in a while someone does something and wins the internet...if only for a day. Without a doubt, Nunes has lost the internet. It's distressing how many people seem to assume that "what I remember from 11th grade civics" is the sum total of "what historians know."
You think Nunes regrets the lawsuit yet? While his mom's account has been banned, the Cow is about to pass him in followers, and there are a multitude of random accounts named after other family members and farm animals being created. Oh.. And the cow had less than 2k followers when the lawsuit appeared, it's at almost 400k now.
I think the cow has passed him at this point. And if I did Twitter, I'd crank up the #FreeDevin'sMom campaign.
It was still 7k behind him when I posted that, but yes.. It is currently at 411k compared to Nunes's 394k. I wonder if there is a counter-campaign to lift Nunes's numbers up.. He's added 17k since I looked this morning.
So the KY guv'nuh is an anti-vaxxer Bevin joined WKCT, a Bowling Green radio station, on Tuesday to chat about a number of his ideological positions; chief among them was whether parents should vaccinate their children. As was reported by the Louisville Courier-Journal, the highest-ranking public official in Bluegrass State politics admitted on air to purposefully infecting all nine (!) of his children with chickenpox. “Every single one of my kids had the chickenpox,” Bevin said, per the Courier-Journal. “They got the chickenpox on purpose because we found a neighbor that had it, and I went and made sure every one of my kids was exposed to it, and they got it. They had it as children. They were miserable for a few days, and they all turned out fine.” https://splinternews.com/matt-bevin-made-sure-all-9-of-his-kids-got-the-chickenp-1833444052
Cheaper. "Them thare vaccines cost money. My kids getting 'the' chickenpox from the neighbor was free." Also, "they all turned out fine." Except, of course, for the chickenpox and growing up in this numbnuts' household.
I had to look this up. Never heard of it until now and I got the chicken pox the regular way, from others in elementary school.
1) No, "everyone" does not know that "Chicken pox parties" used to be a thing. Yes, they did exist, BEFORE there was a vaccine. Now, they are just stupid. The CDC strongly warns against them. https://www.cdc.gov/chickenpox/about/transmission.html 2) Just because something "used to be a thing," does make it a good idea.
Me too. Same with my brother. My wife had them as a kid (the normal way), and got shingles in her 30s.
I did not even come close to saying they were a good idea. I said they were a thing, thus this isn't the biggest news in the land. You're excellent at jumping to incorrect/incomplete conclusions.
