Nobody was. You'll get a more accurate history lesson on the Founding Fathers from "Hamilton" than you will from any genuflecting Republican.

The most disturbing thing about this is not the stupidity of the comment, but the statement that teachers should be in school watching the kids.

This right here is how a large number of people (and many Republicans) view teachers as babysitters and not as educators. If they were recognized as educators, clearly it would justify higher pay.

His apology could have been shortened to "The responsibility of not articulating myself falls on me. I'm sorry you dumba$$es didn't understand what I was trying to tell you. Thanks and let's work together to gut another social program."

 

Do Kentucky parents rape and drug their children more than parents in other states?

 

I dunno but if they do, then summer vacation is going to be an issue. Bevin better sort out a way to pay to keep schools open year-round because they sure can't be out of school all summer if children are being drugged and raped.
