just an amazing player. we look like crap when he is not playing.
Like the rest of the team was shaky on the 1st half and a monster on the 2nd half.

That Casemiro shot had some venom in it and was heading towards goal. Would have been interesting to see how it went had it not been deflected.

Funny thing is that there aren't many world class DMs out there and we had the privilege of buying this guy for 5ME. And remember he is barely 25. Unbelievable.

If it was for Mourinho, Rafa or Carlo, he'd still be on the bench. Thank Zidane for making Casemiro a starter, dude is one of the reasons of our last 2 seasons incredible success.

Casemiro has won the CL in every season he has been a Real Madrid player. In the season we didn't win it we conceded a goal because of the lack of a DM that essentially lost us the tie. May the CL trophies keep rolling in

Not sure what he said to that clown Alves but Casemiro was angry then he saw the ball rolling at him you almost heard him yelled.... "Luka get the ******** out of my way....I got this". BOOM!!.....he landed that a huge body blow to Buffon. Ronaldo followed up with the knock out punch a few minutes later.

    The rest is history.

Casemiro was my favourite player in the CL finals. Tireless worker and his goal changed the whole game.

The deflection was lucky for sure, but you don't win the lottery without a ticket, and in order to buy this particular ticket, you have to produce a low, hard strike with excellent technique -- which is really all you can do in that situation and exactly what he did.

His 2014 cameo at Dortmund was so important as well. Illarra was shitting bricks in that atmosphere and Case restored balance after coming on. Contributed to all 3 CL wins.

And the year we did not win he was the best DM in the CL while playing for Porto.

Indeed, Casemiro and his installing by Zidane has been a paradigmatic shift. Enabled Kroos and Modric to flourish by being a wall behind them. One of the most tenacious player's I've ever seen and definitely an all-time favorite of mine.

To be honest i am not sure if Llorente can replicate the Casemiro's effect on the game. Casemiro scores against Napoli. Assists Ronaldo against Bayern and Atleti in champions league quarters and semis. Scores in el clasico and yet again scores against Buffon in champions league final.
Lets take a moment and let that sink.

Really, so underrated. I'm happy to see Llorente back, I wouldn't choose anyone else to backup/rotate with Casemiro. However he's got some tough competition though. Casemiro isn't giving up his starter position easily, Anyway this is good for the club and insures both stay in form.

That goal and Madzukic's were the two best goals of the Champions this year.

To be fair, they are completely different types of DMs. Casemiro is more physical type of a player, great in the air, strong, hard working with not the best passing ability, where Llorente is much more X. Alonso like - graceful, with great positional awareness and passing ability. I watched some of his games for Alaves this season and he can really be the next great thing.

They will probably be used against different types of opponents, so there will be plenty of minutes for both of them.

Can't wait to see them in action.

You called your shot, so your right to gloat. Still don't think at the time there was anything to indicate there was going to be this level of success from Casemiro, but I'm always glad to be wrong when it comes to undervaluing our players. :)

Illarramendi is doing very well though, neither were given much of an opportunity here with the Spaniard conspicuously played out of position more often than not.

I am not gloating, sorry if it sounded like that .

It was just a gut feeling , nothing more.
