Whos Going To Chicago??

My wife and I are driving over from Des Moines for this match, it will be my 5th cap, her first.

 

I will be there for sure; chicago has hosted many a good USMNT games there and I will be there once again supporting my team with 30 of my friends; Can't wait to see you all there...

 

The wife and I will be heading down for the game as well.

HEY GUYS I NEED SOME HELP! , I was referred to this site just today from some Sam's Army supporters, I live in Memphis Tennessee and I have a ticket for the game on Saturday, My flight was just cancelled to fly from Memphis to Chicago on friday and I can't get a new flight pass.

IS THERE ANYONE GOING TO CHICAGO FROM MEMPHIS TENNESSEE FOR THE MATCH?
I have a place to stay in Chicago I would just need a ride (I will provide gas money) to Chicago on Friday or Saturday and a ride back to Memphis on Sunday.

I would make a new thread but I don't know how many posts I have to have to be able to start new threads and it's just so short notice I don't want to make a bunch of dumb posts.

Please if anyone knows anyone going from Memphis that is willing to help out a poor college kid Please Help Me!

 

Kyle, I can't offer you a ride, but don't forget that you can take Amtrak overnight from Memphis to Chicago. I've done it before, it's an easy trip if you can grab a bit of sleep in your seat. You leave Memphis around 9pm and get to Chicago around 8am. Couldn't be easier.

Get a refund from your airline... or better yet, ask them to get you a round-trip seat on the train (US Airways did that for me a few years ago).

 

The tickets are 90$ and I'm just a poor college student, my plane ticket was a buddy pass so it was 65$ round trip, I don't get my refund for 4 weeks! The only thing I can really afford is to split gas with people haha

I can get a refund for my ticket so it isn't a huge deal, but I will be bummed as it was going to be my first match

Anyone else going to the Sox game on Friday night? I'm a Sox season ticket holder but I think it would be cool to have a bunch of fans with US gear at the Sox game (I'll have a US jersey and Sox hat).

 

I will be going to Friday night's game and the game Saturday. Wont be wearing any US gear though.

 

Thinking about it, if I do I have a old sox shirt and my AO scarf that I will have with me.

 

question: how picky are they going to be about cameras? My wife's digital will also shoot video (just like most of them will now), will they challenge that?

 

I've always been able to bring a camera in. They check women's bags but men can just put a camera in their pocket

My friends and I will be taking off after work tomorrow night (8pm). We'll be taking I-94 and I-90 all the way from MPLS to the Second City!!! It's going to be one hell of a ride!

 

I will be traveling from St. Louis (+1). This will be my first cap!
