Aaron Davidson mentioned that the NASL and MLS Commissioners should work together in an interview he gave to "It's called Football". That being said when and who can it be? Candidates range from Ray Hudson to Kartik Krishnaiyer... who would you want for NASL Commissioner? Check out as Burrito sizes the candidates up: http://bit.ly/gZXhe2
Here's an idea, maybe they should actually go out and hire some league staff. That is other then a PR guy. How about some marketing and development folks. And with all of the complaints that they had with not getting enough support from USL, how about some sort of franchise support group that could help with sales and marketing at the team level. I would think that since this is a team / owner directed league having these would be much more important then a commissioner.
There was a meeting today in Miami, don't know what it was about but I do know they are hiring staff for the soon to be Strikers and NASL. One of those hired used to work for MLS I didn't get the name but it should be out soon.
It's worth noting that a the guy responsible for the set-up of the ticket sales division for FC Tampa Bay said last week he was headed to Ft. Lauderdale to help the Strikers. Keep in mind, this isn't the guy who did one week's worth of marketing and spent the rest playing Words with Friends on his iPhone, but the guy who actually went through the logistics in getting the team's front office into gear.
