I'm not comparing them. I don't really care about Pulisic at all unless MX and US are playing head to head. Don't care where he ends up either. Mexico has had world class players so I don't have that complex, if he turns out to be amazing good for him.
Are you trying to say a guy who can't get game time in weak mls is better than a younger CB playing in a league miles better? Btw, you would think a guy who's contract expires in 4 months and is supposedly being sought out by big clubs would have a team by now.
Forget Lainez, Carleton isn't even better than Macias #NoTeLoPierdasG⚽⚽⚽L de José Macías@fcjuarezoficial 0-1 @Chivas#Jornada3 #CopaCoronaMX 🏆 ⚽ #SienteTuLiga ⚽ #MiércolesDeFut pic.twitter.com/IC6Ag7uTi3— Copa MX (@CopaMx) August 10, 2017 Updated U17 power rankings 1.Lainez 2.Davies 3.Macias 4.Torres
Are you talking about the Chivas U-20 vs Mls homegrown game the other day where Carleton couldn't get past any of Chivas players? That's a different Macias who's a CM. This one has been promoted to Chivas' first team.
Sargent is clearly in there. You don't get a U20 WC Golden Boot, make the team of the U20 WC and make Marca's top 20 at the U20 WC, all as a 2000 when just about everyone else on those lists were 97's and 98's, then not get place in the top four. Not if we're being even halfway serious.
That plays a part. However, I'd like to see some of your elite youths do what Sargent is doing and hold out until 18 and go to Europe on a free. Why doesn't that happen? Sure a player might gain by being with a club at 17 but if they're stuck at a lower level at 18, 19, 20, etc and locked into a contract, worse in the long run. McKennie is another of ours who refused to sign, bolted at 18 and this year will be a Schalke 1st teamer. Seems to me some of the elite El Tri prospects should follow suit. Point being, signing pre-18 is not the only avenue. So the "Pulisic is in Europe younger and doing more" argument only applied when he was 17. He'd have just waited and left at 18 if no passport, like McKennie, like Sargent will. How long are most initial Liga MX contracts? For Lozano not to play an official game in Europe yet and he's 22 is too late for a talent like him to move. Any idea how long Lainez is signed for?
Hes going to be a beast, no striker is going to want to go against him, hes just going to get punked around by him, super aggressive player
? He didn't win it There's no such thing. Fifa don't do these for youth tournaments. While doing that at 17 is impressive I don't think he should be listed over players that A) are getting significant playing time in first division and B) have made their debuts. Yes, I know it's already been said that he'll move to Europe by 18 but who knows how long it'll be until he plays any pro minutes. If there's one thing I've learnt about Mexico performing well in these youth tournaments over the past decade is that individual performances in these tournaments are overrated. I'll take having young players getting significant first division minutes over youth world cups any day.
owned by EBP? the guy thats still rotting in the SKC reserves, I didnt see it, Alvarez doesnt specialize in the attack lol
