One of Germany, France or Belgium takes the cake. Unlike at WCs - darkhorse teams actually have a chance to win the EC. Will be interesting to see if Belgium has gained valuable experience or continues to struggle putting the pieces together. Talentwise they are ahead of several "big nations". The Dutch are fading. Spain will be back yet not quite as a title contender. I don't think that Italys or Englands current consistency will ammount for much once the tough gets going (i.e. the tourney starts). Russia is going to gear up for 2018 ... they might surprise.

There is an element of the Dutch team that is fading, but with the youth the light will shine. Fade to Oranje!

Can't see any other team winning it than France, Germany or Spain.
France is known for doing very well in tournaments they get to host.

I'm afraid my beloved Netherlands will have a bad tournament.
Normally after a good World Cup we underperform in the EURO's.

    WC 1974 2nd place = disappointing 3rd place in EURO 1976
WC 1978 2nd place = group stage exit in EURO 1980
    WC 1998 4th place = disappointing semi-final exit in EURO 2000.
WC 2010 2nd place = group stage exit in EURO 2012
    WC 2014 3rd place = ???

And when we had a great EURO like in 1988 we failed in the WC 1990.

I sense a final 4 for Oranje from that.

I think the dark horses are more likely: Czech Republic, Iceland, Poland, and Croatia.

I think that France will win Euro 2016. Griezmann, Pogba and Varane are young and are among the best players in the world right now. Benzema and Giroud

I think that France will win Euro 2016. Griezmann, Pogba and Varane are young and are among the best players in the world right now. Benzema and Giroud are still pretty good players. Besides, the competition will take place in France. If the French team doesn't win, Germany or Belgium have their chance.

    1) France
    2) Germany
    3) Spain
    4) Belgium

The fifth team would either be Italy or the Netherlands but I haven't decided between those two just yet. Besides Croatia, the dark horses will likely be determined at the end of qualifying.

Almost agree here with you.I think Germany are the biggest favorite after we can consider France then Italy and after comes Spain and Belgium.

How can you say Belgium is bigger than Italy? really? Italy in 2nd place and Belgium in 4th and Belgium have an easier group. True Belgium did better in the world cup but Belgium had a much easier group, if they switched places, Belgium would not have advanced, and Italy would have. Netherlands aren't doing well at the moment either, but might come back. Croatia should go far maybe even to the semifinals!

Netherlands have a great chance of winning , With Van Persie , Robben , Sneidjer in their side and Huntelaar showing his class , They would be one tough team to beat !!![IMG]

I just think that Belgium will be contenders by 2016 with the group of players that they have. To be honest, I wouldn't worry too much about where Italy are in the order of the list since any team on that list can beat the other contenders on any given day. I do consider Italy a contender as well as Belgium. Where they're ordered doesn't really matter. This list will most likely change by the end of the year anyways.

Depay has found a groove. Hoping it roles through March. Stoot is gone, though.
