Shalrie Joseph led his Grenada squad into their CONCACAF Nations League debut, but things didn't turn out well, losing 10-0 to Curacao. Up next for Grenada is a home match against Cuba, who won their first match 11-0.

Revs should work out a 'relationship' with Birmingham (since they don't seem to have one with anyone else). There are enough people running things that they know well enough to be able to work out mutually beneficial loan agreements.

It'd be great to get Rennicks, Buchanan, Jones and Herivaux games down there.

Leo Alvarez was named head coach of Libertad in Paraguay a few months ago....not bad, he keeps working, at least.

Mikey Burns, in what he takes to be an inspired moment of PR savvy: "Memo to myself: "THe Old Crew have a Rev as a GK Coach, but The New & Improved Revs have a GK to Coach the Whole Crew!"....yup, Mikey, that's why you da Man "

My son, a now retired semi pro goalkeeper, plays in NYC in the 1st division. He has never been able, like many members of his teams, to play pro, he makes more than about 2/3rds of the Revs, and many guys he knows are in finance and make 10x what they make on average. Forgot about this picture from a Rec league game, Div 1 is full of older pros from all over the world, and my son played with a few MLS guys, and even a retired member of the NE Patriots. Thought this photo would be appreciated , in a remember them group it is from this past fall season.

It is. The only other ex-pro I can identify is Stephen Keel, who is next to Eskandarian.

I think the guy to the left of Riley is Heath Pearce.

My son said they barely won their game, and he did say they still all played well. He made a fair amount of stops, and a couple of the forwards spoke to him afterwards about his frustrating them. The reason I mention this is, the caliber of play in the NYC rec league is incredible. I have watched many games, and the level of play is as good or better than MLS games at times. But, sometimes there are less than 2 dozen fans watching these games.Yes, the players were Id'd correctly, I posted because of Riley, but for just a fun game, there is some MLS history there. I think any team that disregards these guys playing in the 1st div in NYC is missing out on some fairly solid players, from both USA and abroad.

So my Hartford ticket rep called me last night and as we were talking he asked me if I had tried out for the team. I laughed and said at 54 years old my playing days are far behind me. he then said he only asked because they gave a week long trial to a guy with the same name, Dan Jones. I said the Revs had an academy player from CT named Dan Jones who had a few call ups to the baby nats. He confirmed that he was the same player. According to him he played 1 year at Southern New Hampshire and then left to play overseas. Hartford Athletic did not offer him a contract so he is going to play for Hartford FC in the NPSL league
