Dario Sala took a position Nov. 13th with Atlanta United as an assistant coach. He had been the General Manager of the Jacksonville Armada. I still can't forget how he decked two Colorado players after our loss to them in the playoffs in Dallas many years ago. I think he leveled Jacob Peterson with one punch but he did the same with another guy. Unfortunately, I don't think it was Pablo. That would have been beautiful.
I always like to imagine my red Adidas Sala shoes with the white stripes and blue accents are named after him.
Michel has signed with Miami FC. Rumor that Moises Hernandez will sign with Comunicaciones, regular CCL participants from Guatemala.
Speaking of Kenny Cooper (in another thread), has anybody picked him up? Last I heard, he was trying out with Cosmos. Seems like he'd be better off career-wise retiring from playing and finding a coaching gig somewhere rather than playing lower-division ball. 30-something forwards are usually not terribly effective.
Looks like we may be facing our old buddy in the quarterfinals this month... http://theprovince.com/sports/soccer/mls/vancouver-whitecaps/blas-perez-moves-to-arabe-unido
No, it says in the article he's cup-tied to the Whitecaps, so he's not allowed to play for Unido. From the article: "Árabe is up against Pérez’s previous MLS club, FC Dallas, in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals — but because he played for the Whitecaps in the group stage last summer, he’s cup-tied and won’t be able to play for his new club in CCL action."

Ted Eck - inspiration for the ages. From Soccer America from Sports Illustrated. Syndergaard is from Mansfield. "I can remember every minute of it. How I was sitting, what he looked like -- a little bit like Richard Branson. You just never know if you're going to create some kind of impact with any little youngster." -- New York Mets ace pitcher Noah Syndergaard on the athlete who inspired him to interact with fans: former Dallas Burn forward Ted Eck, who spent 10 minutes with him when he went down on the field after a Burn game at the Cotton Bowl as a youngster. On his off-days, Syndergaard will head to Central Park and talk with anyone who recognizes him. (SI.com)

Fabian Castillo is on the verge of being called up to the Colombian National Team. His new team is on a tear. I wrote an article on it. I'll link it, as soon as it's posted on the site. Probably tomorrow.
