Je-Vaughn Watson picked up a red card in minute 36 for New England in their 3-0 loss to Phila. Still not sorry he's gone from us.
The Blas Perez bicycle kick for Vancouver to beat Chicago last night was something special. If you haven't already seen it, do yourself a favor: http://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/ma...tecaps-fc-vs-chicago-fire/details/video/65095 So far for Vancouver, he's got two goals on the season. Both of them were in that game.
http://www.socceramerica.com/articl...warshaw-lead-isles-to-vict.html?edition=15607 Bobby Warshaw, who started his pro career with FC Dallas in 2011, scored the other goal -- his first for the Islanders -- in a victory that ended a three-game losing streak and boosted Harrisburg’s record to 3-5-1.
When the USA does its inevitable three-and-out (after which Jurgen Spinsmann will inevitably throw the team under the bus for its failures), I'm totally rooting for Blas and the Canaleros.
Three and out is no longer. US knows how to keep us around just enough to make us kick the football again hoping against hope Lucy won't pull it again.
Au contraire. If we lose to Paraguay on Saturday night, we'll finish behind at least Colombia and Paraguay, and we'll be three-and-out. 2012.
Partial tongue in cheek. Although, I feel like I remember everything about this team's history but a lot of 2011-2013 is a blur (probably because I was exiled in Waco).
Je-Vaughn Watson had a howler of a game yesterday for Jamaica in the loss to Uruguay. An own goal and got beat 1v1 for another goal.
Academy alumnus now in the Premier League!!! http://www.espnfc.com/story/2895978/us-international-emerson-hyndman-signs-bournemouth-deal United States international Emerson Hyndman has moved up to the Premier League after Bournemouth made him their first summer signing on Friday. Hyndman, 20, was out of contract at Championship club Fulham this summer and a source told ESPN FC last month that he would leave Craven Cottage after rejecting an offer of a new deal. [I know we also have Funes Mori in the Premier League, but I don't feel FCD fans really "claim him" like they do Hyndman.]
Nice article on the DaMN sports section back page with Ted Eck who is now an RSL assistant keeping those links between the two clubs active with Cassar and Eck the two left after Kreis and Lagerway left.
Jason Kreis is now Orlando's coach. http://www.socceramerica.com/articl...yet-obvious-move-by-hiring.html?edition=15868
Good for him. I ran into to Dir and Haynsie at a US watching party and he worried that Kreis wouldn't necessarily get hired again. His point was it's not automatic. Looking back I wonder why he was never hired again. he had a good run with the Burn and had to be better than a lot of other coaches over the years. He still might be.
Emerson Hyndman, who joined Premier League club Bournemouth from Fulham as a free agent in the offseason, is out with an ankle injury that might sideline him the rest of the Cherries' preseason. http://www.socceramerica.com/articl...e-injury-sidelines-hyndman.html?edition=15878
Former FCD Player Eric Alexander has been transferred from Montreal Impact to the Houston Dynamo - poor guy. Transfer Meanwhile former FCD player Eric Avila is currently playing for Tampa Bay Rowdies Avila #30
http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2016/09...emalas-ruiz-scores-five-in-final-match-video/ Playing in his final game, Guatemala’s Carlos Ruiz scored five goals against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines before leaving the rain-drenched pitch to massive cheers from the Guatemala City faithful.
He might've been a turd on the pitch but the guy knows where the net is. Would love to have him banging them in now, we'd be unstoppable.
funny related story to this thread: I play on a team in the local NTPSA men's league in its 40A division. We're the defending champs and last sunday played our 2nd game of new season. We got our ass kicked 5-1 by the team who ended last season 6th of 8th. This same team opened the season beating last season's runner-ups by a score of 5-3. So, this long time struggler has now off'd last season's two best by a combined 10-4. We'd heard this team had picked up a couple of Nigerians and Colombians, any or all of whom may have played at a professional level at some point. Now, you hear stuff like this all the time and find out "professional" means something far less than it sounds. During our game the team's new striker ended up with a hat-trick and scored a particularly nice goal from about 25 yards and there was a moment early when something told me I'd recognized him. But it was fleeting and I'd forgotten about it. Well, turns out I was right. I know who he is, although he's cut his hair. Got a message yesterday revealing the guy's identity. Former FC Dallas (not-so) great - Milton Rodriguez is now plying his game for Titans in NTPSA's O40 division. The funny part is the guy that runs the team (who is also the league's accountant) reportedly is paying Milton "$100 a game to play".
Didn't see this posted but I'm glad Peter stuck around. I think he'd be fantastic under Luchi... ACADEMY: Former midfielder Peter Luccin excited to join Academy as U-12 Coach FCDallas.com
