I don't understand the hype with him. He had one good season. He was very average this season when I watched him. Lets see if the good season was the normal or an outlier.
It's not just egotistical, it's just plain ridiculous and just a bad ripoff of what was considered a bad move on LeBron's part. www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6532505/barcelona-antoine-griezmann-atletico-madrid-tv-decision Great football player, but my estimation of him as a man has been steadily going down that it's almost in the dumps as far as I'm concerned. And if he goes something like: "At this time, I will be taking my talents to...", I'd hope someone steps up and punches him. At the very least, calls him out on that BS... I was partly kidding when I mentioned that this whole thing started to look like LeBron's Decision. Never thought it would turn out to be an exact copy of it. Very lame and tacky regardless of his "decision".
I honestly used to like him as a player but he truly is a douche. This bullshit with some innocent mistake blackface sprinkled in is enough. Go away.
Barca clearly wanted him, that's pretty much well documented. The point is that this whole "decision" rip off was completely unnecessary and as previously noted, just very tacky. Not a good at all for him, as far as I'm concerned...
not too bright either. he's managed to piss off both sets of fans. he'st just making it worse for himself if he eventually does leave because they will crucify him with this
Atleti fans will not like this from Griez, but there is zero doubt they'll get over it in fairly short order, especially if he plays to the best of his capabilities. He can't afford a slow start like this past season though. But as classless as this was, in the end he's staying with them, which is what matters. He's 27 also, so it stands to reason he'll remain with the team, with little to no fear of an exit, thru the best years of his career. Between this though, the Blackface stunt, that stupid (and for me disrespectful) Fortnite celebration, he's proving himself to be kind of a jackass, which is disappointing.
Bielsa has been named Leeds manager www.bbc.com/sport/football/44460259 Still incredulous to this news. Great that Bielsa is in English football, but this is just an odd choice for him. Possibly great for the Scum though...
Real have secured the services of the Brazilan wonderkid, Rodrygo from Santos for a fee said to be between €45 to 55mil. He's 17.

A good day for Atleti as they announce officially that Griez and Hernandez have extended their contracts. And Lemar has signed as well (in a rumored €60mil deal). www.bbc.com/sport/football/44529088
I don't see how. Lemar is still just 22 and he's a player Simeone could have lots of fun with. He can play him wide, but we shouldn't be surprised if he plays more in a central role in midfield either. Especially with how the game is played in Spain, there will be various ways Simeone can play (and he probably will in time). We didn't need him, but I would have loved seeing him as a United player and always believed he would have made an excellent addition for any team he joined.

Excellent signing for them, especially at the price. He's a great keeper but he needs to kick his habit of having at least one wtf moment every 5 games.
Rumors are Pastore is off to Roma for 18 mil. I don't care what you think of him, that's a ********ing steal.
In this market, it absolutely is. He finally gets to leave Paris, which he neded to do. Hopefully, his new coach will be able to get the best out if him. He's still relatively young and has little mileage in his legs and body. Serie A should be a great fit for him.
