Aside from Goal keepers I think we are pretty stacked, it is just a matter of finding a "team" that works well together... I mean we really have not a set core yet or formation. We are also short a bit in the LB and RB position as well as the "true" striker position, but that can be worked with, the worries lie in the fact that aside from Sorin, Zanetti, Riquelme, Ayala, Crespo we still don't know whom else will join the list as "for sure" starters . With 5 months to go it is a growing concern!!:(

tevez, samuel, mascherano, heinze if fit. these guys are certain to start. pato too. that makes ten of the eleven. the last place in midfield goes to lucho/messi/aimar/cambiasso.

Heinze won't be fit, sorry, I think we should all give up that dream. Samuel should not start with Ayala, Rodriguez should, so that I think is not certain. Tevez is sure to be the fan fave, but is it Pekermann's choice?? I think Lucho is not certain either,,, in reality is Pato certain:eek:  , so in truth maybe if we stretch it we have 7 or 8 certain and that is hoping they are all fit and ready!!:(

Ok, what are the chances of Sergio Aguero making it to the world cup squad? Has he had any caps at youth level?

Aguero is good, but exactly who would he go in place of. We need to take 3 keepers that leaves us with 20 outfield players. We need at least 6 defenders if not 7, 4 strikers or 5 if e want a more ecletic mix that leaves us with about 8 midfeild positions.. so Aguero is not eady yet when we consider the talents of Messi , Palacio and the speed of Saviola, Crespo, height of Cruz, Aimar's explosiveness, Riquelme, Lucho, Cambiasso, Mascherano, Demichelis, Sorin, Zanetti, Ayala, Samuel, Milito, Gonzo Rodriguez, Quiroga or Collocini or Placente, Solari or Maxi or Killy or Bilos or Castroman, and maybe either another defensive pesene in the likes of Battaglia or another mid creator like D'Allesandro or possibly a wing player like Delgado... after this it is all keepers, I can't see room for Aguero.

Killy isn't going. He isn't playing enough right now. But he would be a good choice in Left Mid, in case Sorin ever gets injured. Or maybe Solari could be called up again.

    ooops...
Claudio Lopez is definately not going. With Aguero, Tevez, Crespo, Cruz, Saviola, Castroman, Figueroa and Messi all ahead of him.

but out of those players you mentioned how many of them play left forward?
i think he deserves to go to the world cup(at least to play as a replacement)
I would prefer el piojo more than Figueroa(just my opinion):D

As left forward I'd much rather have Saviola tried out there, or Chelito Delgado tbh.

Well this is the problem you guys and Perkerman will be facing, too many extra-quality players, in the end it may come down to who has had an impressive season and most on form. However there are some players who have to make the trip to Germany no matter what. It is good to have depth but i hope Perkerman makes the right choices. I still feel Solari and Killy should go and Collocini. Quiroga is another good choice.

I woudn`t be surprised if Delgado didn`t make it this time round. I can see some better players filling that spot.

it's a pointless debate. neither claudio nor delgado are going, simple as that. neither IMO are kily or solari.

I would have liked to see Solari called up. He might make our left wing less reliant on Sorin, since ATM, Santana is our only back up to him.
