I'm not sure but he's doing very well in Liga MX. Most plausible explanation would be to avoid having to fly him to Spain for the game. He's clearly our best striker. Hoillett wasn't called as well most likely due to letting him focus on helping Cardiff City promote to EPL As for Davies...Vancouver are playing On the other hand, Larin has something to prove and he has a hungry Liam Millar breathing down his neck. For the League of Nations, everyone will be there
I really think coaches need to stop bringing Hutchinson, the guy is 35 and will be 39 in 2022. Give his spot to players that could contribute and aren't old. will be exciting to watch Liam Millar! Where's Tabla?
Hutchinson still plays a solid game and will be vital for the League of Nations. Also, he's showing younger midfielder how to play right. Hutchinson is not known in North America but he's a Champions League caliber midfielder even at his age Tabla won't commit to Canada or Ivory Coast yet.
It's only a friendly and his absence gives Liam Millar playing time to check him out as he can play both midfield and striker. He's killing it at Liverpool and even Klopp is high on his performance in the youth team. Seems like he might see 1st club minutes at Liverpool in the near future. This might be Herdman last chance to try new players and players who need to prove that they can start like Osorio, Petrasso and Larin, as all the games after will count and only Canada's A team will be called up. That's why Godinho and Cornelius also called. We're thin at defense and these two 20 years old defenders are doing very well in their European teams. Marcus Godinho started with Heart of Midlothian in Scottish Premiership for the Edinburgh derby and played a sharp game. Cornelius is doing well in Serbia. Cavallini has nothing to prove anymore, he's our #1. Best to leave him alone so he can focus on his Liga MX season so they keep him. He's on loan from Penarol, Uruguay. Luckily, he's making the case to be bought by Puebla. Can't recall last time a Canadian was a starting striker who could score like that in Mexico, but that's really good for Canada ultimately.
For those wondering about Cavallini Mi vida entera en una sola imagen ❤️💙 mas no puedo pedir! Los amo 👨👨👧👦😍 felices los 4 pic.twitter.com/fu1nrpqPn4— Lucas Cavallini (@LCavalliniOfi) March 15, 2018 Newborn, best he spent time off with them. If the kid is anything like his dad, I hope Mexico doesn't get him

According to this Canada will participate the 2019 Copa America in Brazil http://m.cooperativa.cl/noticias/de...opeos-quedo-descartada/2018-03-16/122425.html Canada would be one of the countries invited for this tournament, it would be 3 of Concacaf and 3 of Asia to complete 16 participating countries, according to this article.
Speculation for now, but: if Canada get the invite and qualify for the Gold Cup, how would they set up the two squads for the summer of 2019? And no, they can't just send the A-team to the Copa América: as a CONCACAF member, the CSA can coerce clubs into releasing players for the Gold Cup, but those clubs have every right to refuse to give up players for Canada participating as a guest team in the Copa América (e.g. Besiktas not releasing Larin).
There's a hell of a lot going on in 2019. Gold Cup, Copa America, CONCACAF League of nations...................and even the U20 and U23 CONCACAF Championships. Canada doesn't have the biggest pool in the world, particularly in defense. Its going to be interesting to see how they can stretch themselves to all of these events.
Juan Cordova is a 22 year old Fullback born in Chile. He is cap-tied to Canada and plays in the Chilean Primera División. A great asset for Canada as he's facing CONMEBOL players which is valuable for the national team having to deal with CONCACAF teams. 975722841822941185 is not a valid tweet id

Canada defeats New Zealand 1-0. Liam Millar is undeniably a starter for Canada at such a young age. He's scary good and fast on left wing. With Davies on the other wing, our attack got just that much more dangerous. Finally Canada is playing like a Top 100 NT. The Kiwis were missing most of their MLSers though, who are some of their best players, except for Boxall.
Depending on how other teams change, in April 2018 Canada could have their best FIFA Ranking since 2013.
