That means they're good. They should be able to start in their CONCACAF NT's and don't look out of place, but they're not world-beaters. I'd say similar level to the kinds of Ureña, Pulido, Morris, etc.
Perhaps in the Twilight zone Why not simply hope for Canada to make it to the hex before plotting the US's doom?
it's about time we had our own league to focus/showcase, play and develop Canadian prospects and talent. The Canadian MLS teams just seems to be mostly 3 more teams for more US players-foreigners to play in, that just happen to be in located in Canada. it's supposed to launch next year, well here's hoping it helps Canada when it comes to 2022 WC-onwards. I think the biggest problem with Canada is like mentioned numerous times before, the defense issue. also our 1st game of the year was announced 2 days ago, we are playing WC playoff loser New Zeland on March 24.
Larin has the right physic but he tends to wait for the ball and not do much up front. He can't do that at Besiktas, he'll have to improve his game at ball possession and creativity. Cavallini is a complete striker. He's a nightmare for defender, very hard to mark, he's creative and very good with the ball. He's one of a kind and arguably one of the most underrated player in CONCACAF by a mile. Both are much better at club level that for the national team. Larin just sits there and wait for the ball. If he's not on a position to bury it, he's useless with the ball. He scores but only when he gets the perfect pass or opportunity. Cavallini is more of a creative playmaker and creator of opportunity at national level. He's an on-field leader (he ripped Davies apart for missing passes during the world cup but totally coaching him and celebrating when he was doing things right on the pitch). Cavallini is very good with the ball and keeping possession. His awareness is superior to Larin and his creativity as well. Most expert however agrees that Larin's potential is much higher, he just needed to get out of Orlando and get different/better coaching. Besiktas is perfect for him to perhaps become a 2nd Cavalini or surpass him
Larin looked kind of out of place during the Gold Cup. Cavallini looked like he belonged there, creating opportunities for Davies and Hoilett. Anthony-Jackson Hamel is a great late sub. Unbelievably good with the ball (better than Larin) but doesn't have Larin's instinct at capitalizing on opportunities. Cavallini is proving is worth in Liga MX, Larin can become that in Turkey if his development goes well there. Otherwise, Liam Millar at this pace will be an absolute killer for Canada.
striker wise we are in a decent position between Cavallini, Larin, Hamel, Ricketts with like 2-3 other that are less successful but could still be useful. but yeah if Millar pans out, we could be even better in attack. Although we still need better defense.

Canada has been invited and accepted the chance to play at the 2018 Toulon Tournament. Canada will participate in the 2018 edition of the Festival International Espoirs Provence from 26 May to 9 June.STORY 🍁⚽ https://t.co/BaEomvIsQo pic.twitter.com/SqZ2bNfQqf— Canada Soccer (@CanadaSoccerEN) February 5, 2018 it's a U21 tournament, supposed to be 12 teams. The Espoirs de Toulon will have to do without the CONMEBOL teams, it seems, since they've agreed to have their own equivalent tournament in Argentina: http://radioregional.com.ar/index.p...bergara-un-campeonato-sudamericano-de-futbol/

Soccerway shows Vagner came on as a sub. It's good that Larin isn't being loaned out. Hopefully he makes an appearance over the next few games. Maybe even a start by month's end?
Milan Borjan is our #1 keeper Milan Borjan (@mr_zombi) is playing right now against CSKA Moskow for the Europa League https://t.co/XdaelurLiL— Canucks Abroad (@Canucks_Abroad) February 13, 2018
He made 5 saves in a scoreless draw. The second leg will start earlier because it's in Russia and will be on Fox Sports 2 next Wednesday at 11:50 A.M. I don't know how much of the Champions League and Europa League is on TV in Canada.
TSN has all the games with the English clubs. You can get some of the others on TSN3 and TSN5, and on SNWL (Sportsnet World), but fewer people have those channels.
Hutchinson for sure as he's the captain. I seriously doubt Larin starts, he'll be lucky to get dubbed in... Love Canadians doing well but I got to keep it real
It's kinda what I was eluding to. I'm sure he'll be on the bench. perhaps for the 2nd leg he might get some minutes. Hey, I'm happy as well. Canada doing well is good for CONCACAF
Pretty amazing how he's adapted to the league. wikipedia lists his stats as 8 goals in 15 league matches for Puebla.
