Yes sir! Until Larin actually gets started in Europe and polish his game, Cavallini is our best striker. He's a much more complete player than Larin in my opinion but Larin's potential is likely higher.
Yeah I just saw a Turkish media mentioning that too. If true, Olympiakos is a consistent Europa League team. He'll get opportunities to play more and prove he can play at a higher level. I get MLS arguments but still reflects badly on them once all of this mess concludes
uh Getting word Barcelona is front-runner to sign Montreal Impact MF Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla, age 18 #mls #imfc— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) January 23, 2018 don't think that's a smart move, obviously isn't the main team seems headed towards Barca B.
would be surprised if he ever makes it to the 1st team. And even then the more he does well the more likely he could switch to Ivory Coast. He doesn't seem 100% set on Canada.
Canada is in a weird spot. Their first eight or nine starters or so (Piette, Cordova, Davies, Borjan, Hoilett, Arfield, Larin, Cavallini) probably start for a lot to most CONCACAF teams. Then they seem to have a solid group of bench guys: Jackson-Hamel,Ricketts, Osorio, Akindele, Hutchison if he wants to play, Liam Millar coming up, etc. But CB is such a mess, as are the backup keepers. And the cupboard looks kinda not deep after this era.

Depending on his willingness to learn, his football IQ is about to go through the roof. Now, here's hoping the CSA learns from the USSF's mistakes with Jonathan González and butters Tabla and his family up - at least until they can pin him in September with them LoN games.
Zambrano already tried. He had guaranteed him to start him at Senior level for the Gold Cup. Drogba got to him and his family is pressuring him to play for Ivory Coast. However, there's no guarantee that IC would ever select him for 2022 or 2026. He wouldn't be that high on their depth chart unless he breaks out in Spain. In my mind, he's playing for Ivory Coast. They will cap him eventually
Is there mention of a transfer fee? and when you sign to their B squad, do players get a chance to train with the senior squad? Or even loaned to another La Liga team?
There was a transfer fee but vintage MLS/teams liking their secrecy, won't disclose it. I can't answer the other questions regarding training with the 1st team and loans. I guess that's totally up to Barcelona
You guys are gonna be a handful the next time we play you. It's a shame we don't have any of our strikers in Mexico. You'd think 1 quality MLS forward would be there by now. Hopefully Larin completes that move to Besiktas. Wishing him all the success and that both our nations get in for 2022
Since they also missed the WC, IC has one official game in March for AFCON quals to tie him in before Canada can try again. From Sep on Canada has official LoN games going against IC's official AFCON Qual games.
Besiktas have reached an agreement with Orlando City over Cyle Larin's transfer for €1.85m. The issue is resolved without the parties applying to FIFA. [NTV Spor] pic.twitter.com/CU0VrO9neQ— Besiktas Talk (@BesiktasTalk) January 26, 2018

Since, I'm not so well read up on past Canadian strikers, how do Larin and Cavallini stack up? Whether that is scoring for club and country or their overall effectiveness for the team (assists, holding the ball up)
