This is inspired by a very old thread from 2008 and from my run ins with people in real life. Most people are shocked when I say Vasco x Flamengo is the biggest rivalry in Brazil. Most would just assume the Grenal is which to me is rather uninteresting on the pitch to be honest, the stuff off the pitch is really cool. I also highly rate Vitoria x Bahia. It's hard to pick a classico in the Sao Paolo but I actually think sao paolo x Corinthians may be the biggest. I know many would opt with Corinthians x palmeiras which is more than fair. The essential question is if Vasco x Flamengo is the biggest derby?
I'd have to agree, but then again, I can't hide my bias. Galo and Cruzeiro has been a good classico in recent years, but produced many stinkers prior to 2010.
