Lol, I hadn't caught the reference so I googled that and... well, If I had been actually drinking a coffee I would have spilled it all around!

I just checked and poor Verena Aschauer is just 23! Let's just say that... she looks more grown-up than her real age! :giggle:

Another major injury, this time for Denmark: Jensen out, Junge Pedersen in.

It was already third change for Denmark, with 20 minuted still to play (don't remember, actually, who exactly the other changes were).

Poor Manuela Zinsberger has now a sign on her beautiful cheek (and not from a kiss: it was Larsen's head on her face, actually). :x3:

5 minutes of additional time, before extra-time is called.

Can we just go straight to PKs? IMO this has been a poor game

Extra-time is declared. Like the other day, I am going to miss most of it, so I can eat and not miss Netherlands-England later.

This time, though, I am not as sure that nothing will happen in extra-time as I was for the Austria-Spain match. o_O

I don't think it will come to PK's, to many tired legs. Errors time.

replacing Puntigam, what a dumb move, she's been winning most of her tackles. let's see Austria try to win balls without her

096' 0-0 Harder spin-and-drives up left touch past midfield, Zadrazil "attempts to swap shirts before the end of the game" :D  to the pbp guy. Yellow card on Zadrazil -- Harder was beating two on the dribble, so Zadrazil wasn't last defender? The shirt-pull slows both of them down enough for the other defender to run past them both ;)

    105' 0-0 Harder side-heads across 6-top, Denmark turn-and-shoot high.

Many, many tired shots over both bars. (My fingers typed "tiered shots", and that might actually be more correct )

I think all players tend to rush shots and shoot early, which results in volleys going high. Men do it too, e.g. when a relatively small nation like Ecuador overachieves and makes it into the QFs. It takes ice water in the veins to wait another half-beat for the ball to fall further along its parabola and meet your foot.

110' 0-0 Prohaska steps to ball in a void at 15m 6-left, one-touch shot sails ... high :alien:

Well, we were wrong: PK, after all.

Let's see if Zinsberger wins again, despite the sign on her cheek! :p

Austria A+ from last minutes survival ;) I still cheer for them but Harder and Co. deserve to win this.

120' 0-0 Denmark (Veje?) right ck, Harder cuts to 5m right post and drills a rocket header -- wide right. Exhausted in her torso/core, could will the legs to run and jump but had nothing left to twist. +1'.

120+1' (of +1') 0-0 Austria counter to box top left, bad clang rolls harmlessly over endline left.

120+1' (of +1') 0-0 Denmark subs in (4 of 3+1 ) #14 [IMG] Nicoline Sørensen for #11 [IMG] Katrine Veje. These thumbnails

Zinsberger once again dove mainly right, and even saved one, but it was her team-mates deceiving her. For me, she remains best GK of the tournament.

Denmark tried harder had probably deserved by a slight margin. In the final minutres, Austrians were just bunkering and recurring to fouls. Probably they were also too much tired from all this defending, by the time PKs came.
