It's impossible not to be excited about this kid - by all accounts he has the potential to set the league on fire. I want to temper my expectations for this year; I'm guessing he will remarkably inconsistent, showing flashes of brilliance but disappearing for stretches. Still, he has all the makings of a world beater, and what I really love about his game is that he's incredibly passionate and hard working. Nobody will ever replace Suarez in that regard, but at least he's got plenty of piss 'n vinegar in him.

Depending on who else gets brought in, I expect him to be a regular in the first XI.

It will be incredibly fun to see the pace in our counter attacks with Marcovic and Sterling both in the team. And if you combine their ages you won't reach 40. They have both already accomplished so much and still have so much room to improve. After seeing the strides Raheem made under BR's guidance, you would have to think that LFC is the perfect place for Lazar to reach his full potential. Exciting future.

As good as we were last year at counter attacks (arguably the best in the league), we will be even better this year. Markovic will be a big part of that.

Very excited about this signing. Should be fun to watch. Only negative I've heard is he doesn't put much effort into training but BR should be able to light a fire under him

He's missed 2 full weeks since the Olympiakos game - highly doubtful to start the season now.

    Disappointing.

What's wrong with him? - I though it was that he simply signed too late to join the squad on the US Tour?

Tendon issue. Supposed to be minor.

I've no problem with them easing him in.

I want our employers to take pics like that with bold adjectives - haha imagine that above a cubicle or on a job site (whatever environment you work in).

Inauspicious beginning. Here's hoping he's not as brittle as Aquaman was.

Agreed, Markovic and Sterling's pace will be a big part, with Lovren vocally marshaling our defense to the top of the 18 quickly behind them. This will compact the space the opponent has to move in, giving us greater numbers upfield - resulting in ..wait for it..more opportunities and more goals.

VERY excited to start this year. A goal for Liverpool will be to top last season's blistering goal total while reducing goals conceded by a third. Do that, we win the league.

It’s funny - there was a poster that promised he would be shifted to turkey after his first season and I defended him as a good player all season.

    Damn was I ever wrong.
