Someone needs to explain the US Constitution to The Guardian: Um...no, he can't. See Amendment, 22nd.
If you had followed the link on 'third term' you'll see it was a reference to a prior Guardian column about Trump "joking" about adopting China's recent decision to abolish their two-term limit law.

Good. Now I can watch this World Cup with a little measure of respectability. FIFA still isn't out of the woodshed yet.
I still have my doubts about Qatar 2022.If the EPL (as they've already delcared) not to mention other nations don't want to play in December, I dont' see how they will pull it off.
http://www.espn.com/soccer/spain/st...before-world-cup-after-taking-real-madrid-job !!! And Spain had (have?) a really good chance of winning the World Cup!! We absolutely should have done this to Klinsmann when he staged his Red Wedding before the last World Cup (though it would have been more of Willard/Kurtz scenario than this political thing.)
Pretty funny how Austin council member Alison Alter memtiomen economist Roger Noll , when Roger Noll has gone on public record that cities should provide the land and infrastructure for sports stadiums if owner willing to pay 100% of construction. Roger Noll would tell Austin they're getting a great deal. Unfortunately Columbus is only interested in lawsuits and establishing new taxes on top of existing taxes for the continued bailout and operating subsides to the other team in town.
With respect to the WC 2026 bid, this is a couple of days after Hope Solo didn't think the U.S. deserved to be one of the hosts. Wonder how she feels. Anyway, I expect that there will be some infrastructure improvements needed with respect to roads and such. But, without looking at the bid, there is enough existing stadia, hotels and airports to accommodate most locations. And, a number of the airports are going through constant renovations. As for the relationships between the 3 countries, the federations are already linked in a number of soccer items. Just need to make sure visas and travel goes smoothly. P.S. Should 1 of the U.S. locations need to drop out, it seems there are a number of venues that could be alternates.
You've got to cut me some slack Jason, given their track record, it seemed plausible that they didn't understand basic American civics
