If they do go down, Howe is probably the best man to help them come back up. If they sack him they just go back to being a tiny club who higher manager after manager.
hell of a first start for their backup keeper. Pepe Reina is in the stands for Aston Villa awaiting a medical.
Makes sense with Spain’s history pathetic how football bends the knee for disgusting countries because they hit upon oil
Yeah and what's funny is it's meant to be their version of the Charity Shield... a tournament for the winners of La Liga vs Copa del Rey... and yet it contains winners of neither as both Barcelona and Valencia lost their semis...
a good move, his experiences will help them.. he deserves to play regularly, and better for him than staying in the current awful milan team
Barcelona have made contact with Mauricio Pochettino about him replacing Ernesto Valverde as manager. The 47-year-old Argentine is out of work after being sacked by Spurs in November.
nope ..... Barcelona sack Ernesto Valverde and appoint Quique Setien https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51099632
Bad choice. Instead of going for someone ingrained in the 'barca way,' they need to remember that the only reason they are relevant is a guy named Messi. Pochetino would have been a better choice - he would have found a way to get the best out of the remaining years of Messi while not being restricted to some bullsh*t philosophy.
Well mourinho never played for a London team. Pochetino has more than 300 games for Espanyol in addition to managing them.
wow - I understand that people didn't like him, but Valverde just won two successive La Liga titles and is currently top of the table again, no pressure with that job I guess.....
Win titles, get them on your CV. Take a multi million Euro severance package all the way to the bank laughing. Then spend 6 months in The Maldives.
not just losing on the pitch .... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51114007 Everton have announced record losses of £111.8m for the year to June 2019 but say they are "committed to operating in a financially sustainable manner". Premier League profit and sustainability rules allow for a £105m loss over three years, with Everton's total loss in the same timeframe at £94.3m. Moshiri has spent about £450m on players and changed manager four times since he took over at the club in February 2016, leading to questions from fans about the club's sustainability.
from only a few of the more rationale ones. the ones on twitter, GoT (Grand Old Team), and other sites are absolute loons. they don't understand finance at all. Wages are 85%!!!!!! of revenues. Revenues are almost all based on TV money. Moshri (and Uncle Uzzy as they call him) are owed 350m in a loan they "gave" the club. it's shocking.
the only way to "success" themselves out of that financial risk is to get into Europe. the chances of them getting into Europa this season are less than zero. next year it could -- theoretically -- improve to zero.
