you know...HR Pufnstuf, Sigmund the Sea Monster and Land of the Lost: http://www.albany.net/~genxtv/krofft.html there was a nice School House Rocks comeback for a while and I think this fine bit of Gen-X engineering deserves a review
How about when Sid & Marty Krofft teamed up with the Bay City Rollers to develop a kids' show with the puppets and the band! God, that was the best....
My God, how many hours did I spend watching those shows growing up HR Pufnstuf, who's your friend when things get rough, HR Pufnstuf, he can't do a little cause he can't do enough Marshall, Will, and Holly On a routine expedition Met the greatest earthquake ever known (known known known) There's nothing like a day out on the beach When all it does is rain The Bugaloos, the bugaloos We in the air and everywhere Flying high, flying loose Flying free as a summer breeze I think my favorite show was Liddsville. I love to watch anything with Charles Nelson Reilly, ie MatchGame. Plus it starred a post-Munsters Butch Patrick, a winner of a show any way you look at it.
Leo-- I guess I'll be seeing you at the Chiller next month when you take your Pufinstuf swag to get signed by Johnny Whittaker: http://www.chillertheatre.com
What the hell was the name of their ill-fated amusement park? My parents though that when they put that place together and I wanted to go, that I was getting involved in some sort of cult. She was probably right.
It was called... The World of Sid and Marty Krofft!!!! And man, was the chick from the Bugaloos a hottie, well considering she was English, that is (wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more).
Whew! I thought I was the only one. This whole Krofft business is a cult. Some (ahem) close relatives were joining EST at about the same time.
