Packed... as always... the game was good because Japan was behind most of the game so we saw a lot of attacking tries by Japanese to equalize but shame they couldn't do it twice.. :p

Karimi wasn't on form but he did show his class in couple of occasions (specially the second goal)
Hashemian (Mr "ignored by his club" according to Go_Japan) did what he does the best, he was very close to a hat trick...
over all a very good game...

fans really went crazy after the second goal... I was kind of scared that they might do something stupid!!

That's a good and straight win by Iran, I feel. Odd decisions went both for and against both sides, just about even as well. Both sides tried, did well enough within the framework of expectation, and I think it's a fair game 2-1 to Iran.

Probably the most orthodox result in a "bookmakers" sort of way, with home side winning 2-1. I agree with the earlier comment that Karimi didn't look on form today, but no doubt he'll get there by 2006 and he was already threatening today - god knows what tricks he might perform in germany!

dude, I think that was the deepest meaning you could get out of my post! :D
but I like the last scene when spectators just run into the filed from every corner... though I didn't want to see that happening today!

Saving it for the Germans? ;)

BTW did you get coolstream alright? I've had it running since the NK game and not a problem so far. I feel like I should send the coolstream people a check (I paid $40 for bittorrent and couldn't get it work for me at all. Gave up after 30 minutes).

    Great Japan
I fairly believe in miracle although I strongly deny the existence of the God, but this is very intolerable result for Japan. This is almost as bad as Brazil losing to Maldives.

    Shame shame :(

This was mighty nippon's all star team? with the god of fire, god of water god of gayness ect? I am disspointed, but I was more disappointed with our persian gods, 2-1 against such a pitiful opponent is pathetic, I wanted at least 5 goals from our gods, anyways remember that little bet persiantiger had with hamatachi? Where the winner of the match got to use the word "mighty" and the loser had to never use it ever again? How about since those legends are not posting here anymore, I be persiantiger and you be hamatachi? DON'T YOU EVER USE MIGHTY AGAIN YOU INFERIOR BEING

    MIGHTY IRAN 4 EVER

The only decision of the referee was really bad was the offside on Zandi. That was not offside and Iran clearly could score a goal. It was like a penalty

You should be congratulating Japan for not conceding more goals, 2-1 is not a good win for mighty Iran at all, specially against such minnows as Japan.
