    LOL if banning players from the NT can get you banned by FIFA, the Saudi FA would have been banned for the past 30 years.

    Anyway, I think the political interference that FIFA claims to be concerned with has to do with electing the members of the national associations. The national association can still ban whoever it wants for whatever reason.

    Can anyone shed more light on this?

    Exactly what I was thinking...Surprised about Kaebi though, I know he's quite young and promising, while the other three were old and past their prime anyway.

    LoL that sucks

    I dont think the iranian national team needs those old players anyway cause they were probibly going to retire by the next important compitition (afc 2011 i think, as for the qualyfing, Iran's group is extremly easy)

    as for the young one, I think they'll take him back in a year or two if they need him
