Yeah Brazil, I understand they have high expectations of you but what's another world cup loss to five world cup championships. Think of the little people. :sneaky:

the 99 confeds and 01 copa america weren't youth teams, pretty sure they were B teams tho

The gold cups were full definitely full blown u-23 teams, but 03 was still pretty cool because Kaka captained that team

that fvcking own goal just makes it look even worse, it's more like 2-0 to me

The Olympic win still featured Hulk, Neymar, Marcelo, etc... they had a great team and they really wanted the Gold. That was a quality win.

You know what's really lamentable? Your need to interject every thread with your same tired narrative. Come up with new material or simply start a thread about it so you, @Lukato, and @Maximiliano Biancucchi can have your little circle jerk in there, away from the masses.

Oh, and if you haven't gotten the point yet. Extreme nationalism does not fly around here, it's time you filtered that through your brain. You seem to be of adequate intelligence, but yet, cannot grasp this simple concept. Your room reading skills need a lot of work, brosef.

Big piece that was missing then is Coutinho who, imo, is one of the best players in his position atm.

    Porque tanto pinche miedo?

This generation knows how to beat Brazil.
Beat their current generation in the Olympics and held them to a draw at home.

I like playing against Brazil, they play with the ball on the ground y no se andan con mamadas. It’s gonna be a great game.

Did anyone else notice how bad Mexico were at simply clearing the ********ing ball?

I don't remember any clearances making it past the half way line. I don't remember any good defensive headers either.

Every defensive header was weak and went back into danger. I saw a couple of defensive clearances that went straight up into the air and back down again, hardly sending the ball forwards at all, which then had to be defended again.

That is straight up ********ing pathetic. It was like watching a bunch of kids playing 11 aside for the first time and they can't kick/header the ball hard enough to clear it away from danger.

If you can't even kick or header the ball away effectively, all the other team has to do is repeatedly hit long balls at you to get opportunities to score, knowing you will never ever clear it.

Even some of the shitty teams I've played with in the eighth division of my town's Sunday League would be able to score against this Mexico side just by repeatedly hoofing the ball forwards to the big guy(s) up front.

I know Mexico likes to pass the ball forwards out of danger, but in this game there were plenty of times that we were actually trying to clear the ball away from danger but failing.

The own goal by Alvarez was another example of a failed clearance, instead of hoofing the ball away into either the left or right side of Sweden's half, he missed the ball and it bounced off him for a utterly embarrasing own goal.
