I'm not expecting a goleada. I expect a very tight match. I hope they opt for the same counter attacking style, it's up to SK to bring the game forward if they want hope to advance.

media will poop on them if they don't win with authority.

Been saying that for years. Mexicans think we have a monopoly on controversial call ups, player gossip, federation corruption and just straight up drama. I mean you know damn well there are Belgains complaining about Chinese based Witsel and Carrasco being on the national team just like Mexicans are complaining about MLS based Gio and Jona.

I mean three weeks ago the players were being crucified for a party on their free day. Now everyone is hanging off their nuts.

So they talked about Germany’s loss of ESPN fc and Burley didn’t get called out at all.

He tried to shift the focus on Germany and didn’t give it up to Mexico. In fact, he was like (paraphrased) “yeah, we sometimes see a smaller nation upset a bigger team and then not make it further than the quarters.”

Lol, ok. Mexico “isn’t a good team” ...apparently you’re only a good team if you get past the quarters. Meanwhile top 10 Poland is in jeopardy to even exit group.

I am not expecting one either, much less demanding it. I also would expect a different game, unless we get lucky early and force them to open up. They may very well be dangerous by being patient and somewhat conservative, hoping for a long ball. I don't think it is in their DNA to come out and "proponer un partido", I say we hold the ball, un Tecatazo, un riflazo de Fabian, it is going to be hard building a play in their last 3rd.

Here I would have thought only "good teams" make it to the WC finals tournament

    Cuz qualification and whatnot

Or maybe some confeds just aren't good, at all?

I paced back and forth and almost couldn't handle the last 10 minutes of the game.

What a fantastic game. With that kind of focus, we have a shot at taking anyone down.

"We" were straight front-foot, straight out...
You could read from 1' that at least a goal was coming from chuck's side... exactly what i wanted..

they played it perfectly. Kimmich is always forward. Chuck's side was gonna be a bowling green.

    They did played it perfectly.

Credit to Osorio on recognizing a possession/slow build up game against Germany would have been suicide.

Credit to the boys as well, they looked 50% faster than Germany in the first half.

For all the "fuera Juan Cambios Osorio" crowd.... it should be different against Korea... we have to impose our game there, we have to have the ball more, to me this is a few (2-3) different players.

    Ah pero hazlos entender.

I would love to see them win it all, get farther than anytime before. But if we get others to notice our kids, to notice Mexican futbol, if we get our future generations to believe anything is possible, we already won. If that is the case we took a bigger step forward this world cup than any other I can remember.

So perfectly that chuck didn't even have to turn kimmich on his goal... he only had to turn oezil...

It's a play in hubris... they didn't take sane, out of arrogance.. they didn't keep kimmich back, out of arrogance.

I'm sure it's been chatted about, but has there been a box-to-box performance for mex like hector herrera's, on Sunday? Dude looks languid, but was everywhere.
