Hierro submits final roster, Carvajal remains in Russia.

Oof, with the results of the last few days it might not be that great to become 2nd after all. It would actually become extra important to become first in the group.

Argentina at most can become 2nd, which means they will go to the bracket with Brasil, Belgium and France (and Germany). I can't believe we didn't score more goals yesterday, one bracket is going to be lopsided with 'traditional' WC teams.

Because of the coaching change at the start of the tournament the team re-took the official team photograph on Saturday 23 June.

So our next opponent if we qualify would be Russia if we place 1st, or Uruguay if we place 2nd.

Defensively we are in shambles. I don't see us progressing past the next round.

Hopefully Hierro learns some lessons along the way. The way we are playing we still have a chance against Russia (I rate Morrocco higher than them tbh) so there's still time to regroup and better ourselves.

This coaching change really ********ed us. I hate that Rubiales did that. I get it, you were but hurt and I think it was crappy all around. But you don't hurt the team this close to the World Cup. We were legit contenders with Lopetegui but with Hierro and co. we'll be lucky to get to the quarterfinals.

    So after 3 games:

I know it might be early, especially after his goals in the first 2 matches. But if Costa has gone back to the status quo, it's time for Aspas to be a starter imo. He has the finishing touch (probably moreso than selecion Costa) plus he has speed so we can play balls deep.

Silva pretty much serves no purpose as an AM. Has zero goal scoring threat. He plays as a CM (which he does well) but he's required as an AM. I would sooner play Saul so we actually have somebody on the field who can make a longshot.

Same with Busquets. The only reason he's playing is his hight, because when he's required to defend a break, the opponents can run circles around him.

And what the Hell is up with Pique? It's like he's trying to sabotage the team (the first game and now the red card tackle in the 7th minute) or something.

Personally I'd just go full revolution, because the way we have been playing the last 2 matches doesn't give a man much hope.

I like the thought but there is no way it will happen.
