Can scored a screamer, how many times does that happen?
Sturridge made a cameo and looked like a goal threat, how many times does that happen?
The opposition nearly scored BUT DIDN'T near to the end of the game (prodl hits the bar), how often does that happen?

Anyway winning the game was a must and on to the next game

3 crazy away wins and a home clunker against CP - who would have thunk it? (Ok the home loss against CP was almost a given).

I've probably watched the highlights at least 5 times this morning with the kids.

You guys sounded worried. No faith that's your trouble.

Second half we started out great. The new and renewed Can feeling like his Mojo was back and with Lucas took over the midfield. If we only had a forward, a striker to take advantage of that and put another one or two goals away. It would have taken all that late pressure and nervousness away...... From us never mind the team.
    Good birthday pressie though!!!

It was good to hear the comms actually praising our play and our players. Instead of the terrible trio of Arlo WTF looking for controversy
With Lee, (how he should have done it, or how he would have done it, in 10 minutes or less,) Dixon. And the moaning, he did ever-so-well, Chav.

happens every single game thee days. taking a 1-goal lead into the last 10 mins is close to suicidal for us.

I'd sell Strurridge only if he brings 30M+ and we have lined up the striker we want in the transfer market and know we can get him. For less than 30M, keep him, and play him when he's able because he's a brilliant striker and a shot in the arm, even if in an occasional cameo. When able, he's the best striker we've got. He's a luxury. Do not sell him unless you can replace him.

this team is full of talent players but has no leaders to bring them together during tough times

It has now been 3 full seasons in which Sturridge has contributed close to nothing. You think someone will pay 30M for someone who was once great 3 seasons ago? I think we will have to settle for much less.

It's time for him to go. Even if a miracle happens and he remains fit, he is still not what Klopp is looking for in a striker.

It all looked fairly well under control until we had a bit of a scare when Clyne trod on the ball. I remember similar collapses in confidence following some of Mignolet's shaky moments.

I think a big part of the problem is just fragile confidence. One near(ish) miss and the defence goes to pieces.

I tend to agree with Lorne on this issue - no on-pitch leadership to steady nerves and keep people focused. We need a Carra out there.

    Agree.

He is very good. But, he has lost his pace and is not very suited to the press.

I think 20m is more likely.

Studge needs to go in the summer. While he can be great on his day those days happen less and less anymore due to his physical fragility. We need a dependable striker, one who fits Klopp's system ......sadly Studge fits neither category.
Having said that I think there are still clubs out there which would be willing to take a chance on him and still pay a decent fee so the time is probably right to sell this summer.

    I love that goal.

(but I can't help thinking "thank god he scored, if he'd put it into row Z he'd get crucified for showboating - especially if we didn't win the game.)

ok Fumanu, I tell you what -- post a few intelligent posts on here for a few days to prove you know something about football. and show that you know something about LFC.

that is, prove you're not a troll.

if you can't, or won't, do that, every other person on here will put you on Ignore so your BS will be a total waste of your time.

transfermarkt says 22M Euros, so you're right on the money.

If Liverpool could get that much maybe take a run at Alvaro Morata...;)

PS: I found the ignore button...:D
