Thanks Darth for getting us back on track, just like the Swiss train system?

But last night's International matches were anything but a lull. USA, Chile and a few others are still in a state of shock. Whilst Argentina, Honduras, and a few others are nursing welcome hangovers.

I for one am very thankful to have a club (or two?) where I can focus my footy support again. :)

    RIP USMNT, you BLEW IT!!!

(showing Bruce Arena and the rest of the U.S. Men's National Team the red card in this pic, and after the CHOKE JOB they pulled last night, they more than deserve it!!!)

    You're a multi-talented person @BIGHMW!... or at least multi-photographed. ;)

You shoulda posted that in the Other Teams thread, or better yet the USMNT gameday thread.

    Thanks!

I actually found that replica 2011 FIFA referee patch online at a footy shop out of Italy right here:

    https://goalperformer.com/products/...MIiOWbu_X81AIV1AYqCh34HwtEEAkYBSABEgLxAfD_BwE

I bought that set of a black Nike training jersey and matching shorts at JC Penney a few years back, originally to use as summer PJs, I figured it was the perfect outfit since I still had it.

As for posting the pic on the USMNT gameday thread I could not do it because the "upload a file" button was disabled/not-available on the thread, but yes, I DID want to!!!

As for the USMNT, they deserve to same chant that (unfortunately) we Gooners made infamous on that fateful Monday Night at Selhurst Park last season, the "you're not fit to wear the shirt!!!" chant, from Bruce Arena all the way to Christian Pulisic, Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard and even the ball boy. Sad

So here's to the entire United States Men's National Team, SALUD!!!

Feeling uncertain about this one. Watford are off to a good start and it feels like we're a bit unsettled going into this one.

    Cech
Holding - BFG - Monreal (Not sure Kos will be passed fit, Musti out)
    Bells - Ramsey - Xhaka - Kola
Ozil - Laca - Alexis (Apparently Welbz is fit again)

Bench - Ospina, Chambers, Wilshere, Coquelin/Elneny, Welbeck/Theo, Iwobi, Giroud

Is it correct that Alexis, Ozil and Lacazette have yet to start a match together?

Sanchez not even on bench... precautionary rest after Conmebol or injury?

Ozil apparently fit but left on bench? Hmm.

Koz starting instead of Holding. Hope that's the right call!

Slow slow slow .Wenger has this insane love for slow, unathletic DONKEY midfielders. El Nenny Khaka, and Coq on the bench. Masters of the hospital ball and useless 5 meter square ball to nowhere.

His love affair for Denison Neves remains burning and eternal. :( :(

Xhaka and Nacho lucky not to see yellow yet.

Iwobi doing his best to keep Ozil on the bench.

And Bellerin looking sharp at both ends.

    P. S. Where are all you guys on this thread?? Waiting for us to go a goal down so you can bring out your invective? ;)

Bellerin should’ve made it 2. He’s actually been the best player on the field.

We shifted our style a bit, from the old 35-beautiful –patient-passes-before-a-shot to more pacey-and-direct-counter-attacking.

Both are pleasing on the eye, but I'll take the second one any day.

We did both in this game. The first part was so so slow and ineffective. I wouldn’t call any of those passes beautiful. The second part was more effective obviously. Thankfully. Bypass the midfield and get it to the Wide players and forwards.

That was my point. We started one way snd shifted to the other. Shots on goal went up from what I could tell.

That said the Old patient style did indeed have some technically beautiful passes, with Iwobi often at the center.

But end-product is what wins the game. Which is why I welcomed the switch.

    This is what awaits

Without even Ramsey the team is pretty ordinary
