    Played in HS :)

Was not very good, much better swimmer!

When I was in Dubrovnik for my honeymoon a few summers ago I really wanted to stop by the VK Jug pool and club shop but we did not have time.

    So you like water polo?:)

USA has some great results in water polo:

How come you picked Dubrovnik for your honeymoon? I hope that you enjoyed there. Tourists usually have nice impressions after they leave Croatia. What memories have you created in Dubrovnik? Architecture, gastronomy, clubs, islands?

Dubrovnik is a water polo city, they base everything on this sport. Football, basketball, handball, etc. are not so popular in Dubrovnik like water polo.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VK_Jug

VK Jug is very important Croatian club. Jug means South in English language.

    Often title holders:

I love water polo! My high school won the Illinois State Championship a few years ago. Illinois water polo has grown by leaps and bounds since I played because kids are playing it at a young age. When I played, I had never touched a water polo ball until I was 15 and it was something to do when swim season was over.

We went to Croatia because neither my wife nor I had ever been there. :) We loved it! Stayed in Split and Dubrovnik and then went to Perast in Montenegro for a few days as well. Loved everything. The food, the sights, the people, it was fantastic.

Water polo is very interesting. Too bad that this sport is mostly popular in maybe 10,12 countries. Water polo is often recognized as healthy sport.:) Feel free to create posts about water polo events from your country, maybe some videos, photos from the past.:)

Glad to know that you and your wife had nice moments in Croatia.

About Perast, I must add that this city was part of Croatia, same as northern coastal part of Montenegro, but because of some political issues, these Adriatic pearls ended in Montenegro. Sad Croatian historic story. But architecture, influence still exists.

Bay of Kotor was one of 13 Dalmatian districts. You probably saw that nice cathedral in Kotor, also part of Croatian history.:)

Dubrovnik had Saint Blaise manifestation in February, very popular holiday in Dubrovnik, part of UNESCO World Heritage. This holiday exists since 972 year. Gastronomy achieves its culmination.:D

Four months since my last post about water polo.:whistling: Time flows like a water. You could replace me and write.:p At the moment we can experience European Championship in water polo.:D

Instead of European Championship, we could rename this championship as Mediterranean Trophy: Italy, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Spain, France.:whistling:

Those are great pics you've posted! We appreciate your effort. Do you know by any chance if they are wearing jammers or trunks? I can't really decide what type of swimming gear suits me better.
