Surprise, surprise... this match is on WEDS! Not the usual Thursday. Which dooms us to zero broadcast TV coverage... the usually trusty TUDN will opt for a Barca replay. How dare they!

Both teams sit 5th in their respective leagues, and both are coming off draws. Normally we might claim superiority due to EPL being better than the Portuguese Primera. But not now... not this Arsenal!

Last 3 games we gave up leads, and ended up with draws to Palace & Soton, and a loss to Pool. The game directly before those was Vitoria at home where we did the opposite... came back. But only after they shell-shocked us from the start, and after we were bailed out in the final minutes by Pepe’s break-out brilliance.

Confidence is VERY VERY LOW... in our manager and our team.

My only hope comes from this being a cup game, since our record/style in the cups has been the best thing about our team this season. Or perhaps hope in Pepe, assuming he was rested on Saturday so as to feature in Portugal, and he pulls some more rabbits form his hat.

    Yeah right!

Pepe should start, as should Holding, Mustafi, Kolsanic, Bellerin, AMN, Martnelli, Willock, Martinez and prehaps ESR prehaps Ozil.

Sounds pretty good but you're missing a DM and I would nominate Torreira. But watch Emery play Xhaka!

Shit, I completely forgot about this stupid early KO. Anyone found a good free stream??

Edit: Aw fvck it. 70th minute, 0-0, 4 shots by us, 0 on target, with 64% possession. What's the point in watching last 20' :(

Holy shit, that's a bit of surprise. Pepe FK to Mustafi header. 1-0 to the Arsenal. :)

In the dying seconds they equalize. 1-1. Fitting I suppose.

Edit: FT now. With a draw I don't think we can secure progression to knockout tomorrow. Could be worse I suppose.

I missed this match because the start time is fcuked but did we really set up with 3 CBs against VITORIA and get bailed out by a Pepe set piece again?

Saw the lineup and I thought we would do better l, boy was I wrong. We were so hapless and impotent today. Drawing to a team name Victoria Secret (inside joke lol I respect all clubs we play). If this isn't a sign to sack Emery prehaps a beating at Leicester leading into the international break will do it.

I feel an 8-2 level beat down coming on Saturday at the King Power.

We've blown leads in 4 consecutive matches. Emery's gotta go during the international break.

He'll set up like we're playing City and we'll draw.

    Maybe.

An almost complete lack of creativity again, seven shots, but only one on target, despite the fact that Arsenal had 65% possession.

Last season I referred to a Emery as Mourinho lite, but I now believe that was a backhanded complement that he doesn't deserve. Arsenal have the talent to play some exciting soccer, but they are getting harder and harder to watch under Emery.

    Same old, same old.

p.s. I wonder if anybody here actually streamed it live. (Pray tell!) I was going to but forgot all about it, until it was already 70' so I didn't bother. Little did I know that's just about when the game sprang to life.

The really sad thing is that it's become so hard to watch our own games. This was complete dog shit today. That's as technical as my analysis gets I'm afraid
