And Everton defeat Chelski 2-0. Very big win for us as Chelski both drop points and take a hit on goal difference

Indeed, Chelsea look done. So now it's looking like 3 into 2, for the remaining UCL spots. With a pretty kind fixture list upcoming, we just need to execute!

We're going to get binned for talking basketball, but you are putting to fine a point on it. His rebounds and assists are down 0.2 and 0.3 per game, respectively from last season, and his assists are down 0.4 per game from his best assists season. He is also taking care of the ball better, his turnovers are down.

There are very few clubs that I just plain don't like. But Millwall is one of them.

And I guess Millwall was Millwall today in the FA Cup QF against Brighton. Giving up a 2-0 lead after 87'. Going a man down in ET after an assault like tackle. Then blowing the PK shootout.

    Karma is a bitch huh?

"Concussion protocol" is a joke. Certainly in the EPL. Apparently in Serie A. Maybe all of UEFA?

I feel like MLS is maybe a smidgen better, but still there are far too many players continuing to play after clear concussion symptoms.

Sickening indeed. I'm not a litigious soul, but some league needs to get sued. Or do the player contracts forbid that?

Can anyone explain why VAR ruled this a PK in Galaxy vs. MN United match on Saturday? I've watched it several times, and the attacker kicks the back of the leg of the defender who (to my view) has legally stepped in to play the ball. The third slow-mo replay is the best one I can find in the link below

It gives me still more reason to think VAR will still get many calls wrong.

Couldn't get your link to work, but saw the official match highlights on Youtube. That view is not very close-up but it does look like the attacker kicks the defender's leg. So I agree that should negate the PK call... unless I don't understand something fundamental about the law. I've seen the same call made quite a few times over the years, but those were largely pre-VAR. How this happens now in the age of VAR, I do not know.

I'm unable to edit my previous post. Here's the link with the questionable VAR call for anyone interested in seeing it. The play starts at 1:11 if you don't want to watch all the highlights.

When you have the opposing supporters applauding and actually chanting your name, yeah, you're that damn good.

Me thinks that Messi will win his 4th CL and the Ballon d'Or again at this point.
