I heard he ate their first round draft pick. We merely sent ours to Montreal and we leave our other one on the bench, sucking up an international slot.
Veljko Paunović still has a f*cking job. Three seasons: W T L 07 10 17 16 11 07 06 06 15 (to date) 95 games coached 29 wins 27 ties 39 losses 114 points 1.2 PPG Fourth or fifth highest payroll
Please tell me that this asshole is gone soon or after the last game? and Hopefully NRod and Andi go with him.
I'm so sick of this asshole........... https://www.chicago-fire.com/post/2018/09/28/chivlafc-veljko-paunovi?autoplay=true
bumped from the Nelso Rotriguez Career Death Watch Thread: F*CK YOU, BUNGE! F*CK YOU WITH AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF RUIZ'! I disliked Yallop more (and he was completely horrible and should be the worse coach in our history, forever), but Paunovic has managed to do so much less with so much more talent. He had top 5 salaries the past two years (and top half in year one), including Bastian Schweinsteiger, and managed a total: one Wooden Spoon, one playoff game and was the first team in the East Eliminated from the playoffs this year.
Sounds like a goodbye....... https://www.chicago-fire.com/post/2...press-conference-veljko-paunovi?autoplay=true
It did to me as well, I can only pray it's true, and that they clean house. #NRodOut, #HauptmanOut, #PaunoOut
See Quenneville is weak. Paunovic is expert at not winning playoff games. In fact, as Fire head coach, he is perfect in not winning playoff games. Set the bar so low and job security is almost guaranteed. Very sneaky plan the "soul mates" have.
That's the difference between the Blackhawks ownership and our ownership. They care about winning and willing do anything to keep winning, even if it means firing Joel. Ours could care less about what happens, if Andi cared Pauno wouldn't have made it past the 2015 season.
Agreed, but I think you meant 2016 season (as he was hired in November, 2015). The Paunovic signing was an interesting and rather bold move at the time. In November, 2015, I was not in favor of it, but thought it was a bold move. I said at the beginning of the 2016 season, I would give him the first third of the season before making an assessment. After the 2016 season, he should have been gone. After the 2017 season, he should have been gone. He still should be gone.
At first, I thought you were being "zen" and saying he should have been fired before even taking the Fire into their first season. In hindsight, that might have been a better approach.
