So everyone but Solo. I wonder how much time HAO will get. I'm hoping for 60 or so minutes, and not the measly 20 minutes Chalupny got in her retirement match last year.
Probably start against Thailand and get decent minutes...then cemented to the bench for The Netherlands.
O'Reilly will wear the captain's armband against Thailand. It'll be her last match for the U.S., and her 231st cap.— Ashley Scoby (@AshleyScoby) September 8, 2016
O'Reilly had a bumpy ride. She seemed to me to be Sermanni's favorite player -- and then Ellis came along and she was nobody. I don't think her skills have deteriorated; she still looks like the same player as always. When I decide to go wide right, and I would decide to do so often, I still want O'Reilly out there. I'm sorry to see her go.
Which is more foolishness IMO. The camp is for two matches and one of their flank players is only available for limited minutes. Wouldnt it have been a little more clever to have the second match be HAO tribute match so they could have her available for the first match as well?
If they did that, Ellis wouldn't play her in the first match anyway, so they might as well get the farewell match out of the way.
There's some "assuming of facts not in evidence" here. How do we know HAO didn't request that it be done this way?
Yes it's assuming but she does live with her husband in North Carolina so Atlanta might have been a better place to celebrate her than Ohio. I know Sauerbrunns 100 cap was put in Nashville because it was closer trip for relatives than Florida. Also Rapinoe is unfit, O'Hara isnt playing this weekend so maybe she wont be available and Pugh was helped off the field the last time I saw her. Im thinking an extra flank player might have been handy for The Netherlands.
Apparently Pugh will only be available for The Netherlands as she will be with the U20s for the Thailand match. On the brighter side Rapinoe is up o 70 minutes and O'Hara played the full match.
Tomorrow - Columbus Ohio, Mapfre Stadium 8:00 ET. ESPN2 has the coverage. And as James Hetfield of Metallica so eloquently sang…..…..”and nothing else matters”. Forecast no wind, no precip and 70 at Kick, thank you Buckeyes. 5 day trip sooooooo 5 USWNT Jerseys wardrobe-wise sounds about right. 34 Hours and 49 minutes to Kick my little soccer buddies. Goodbye #9……….she might be going away but will never, ever be forgotten. The Journey with this Team will always.......be........GLORIOUS. STRONG ALONE UNSTOPPABLE TOGETHER
Except maybe if you're Pia Sundhage and the Swedish National Team. Sorry JD, had to throw that one in there. It's still too early.
.@MalPugh will stay with U.S. U-20s and won't play in Sept. #USWNT matches. @moeebrian took an elbow to the head in NWSL & is out vs. THA.— U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (@USWNT) September 14, 2016

Looks like you got your wish, at least in some degree. Pugh stays with U-20s and Brian trains with her team in Houston.
Pugh didnt play for the 20s against South Korea so that makes it seems like she isnt fit enough to play for either squad. Hopefully she get some time in the final two matches. Not so sure u wont see Brian in Atlanta unless that bump also was a slight concussion. She is one of the Georgia girls on the team after all.
